Nice clean well laid out hotel, secure parking for our motorcycles in the under hotel car park. Welcoming friendly staff. Nice size room, large bed, plenty of storage space and good access to plug sockets. His & her sinks in the bathroom with a nice large shower. Breakfast and evening meals was a choice of a large varied selection of food, well replenished and freshly made. The pool was nice, if not a little cold (early June) but was OK once you were fully in. Laundrette was a 5 minute walk away (Good thing when motorcycle touring), train station a 12 minute walk away.
Well recommended and would be happy to stay here again.

The view from the rooms are amazing to see the sunset over the ocean, the pool area with natural shadow from palm trees is very beautiful and well taken care of. There are nice costal walks starting close to the hotel.

Wonderful and relaxing place to visit, but a car is a requirement! Will definitely return to Ferragudo! The Benagil grotto and dolphin boat tour is a must! Visit: Sagres, Selema, Burgau, Tavira, Monchique. A delightful server at Algar Seco made several culture and dining recommendations, including O Charneco - definitely dine here, but an Uber might work better if you are going to drink or the narrow roads make you nervous!

Backstreets with family run cafes, restaurants, bars but nothing too over crowded.
The town square is the central hub day and night but quieter off street restaurants also available so best of both.
The beach is wide, clean and interesting to watch the fishing boats coming and going.

Ferragudo is a pretty fishing village on the Algave. It has 2 lovely beaches, the Praia Grande has a handful of bars and restaurants and sun loungers for hire but does not feel particularly crowded, its a great sandy beach for kids with safe, swimming water and pedalos for hire. The town has some lovely restaurants and is very pretty and typically Portuguese with winding streets and colourful houses. I would suggest its not ideal for parents with small children as there are a lot of steps which could be a challenge with a buggy.

Ferragudo has retained its charm as a fishing village, despite being a popular destination for tourists.
Views accross the bay are beautiful.
There are several good restaurants to choose from, including the quayside fish -grilling ones, in addition to the option of dining in at Vitor's Village.
There is a large and popular beach close to Ferragudo, (Praia Grande) in addition to smaller cove beaches a little further afield.
There's a cliff walk of about 7Km along to the (larger) village of Carvoiero, which takes around 3 hours and involves some "scrambling" ; like a lot of the local coastal walks it's good to do "one way" and arrange a lift back!

Nice little town as a destination for a morning walk to get a coffee or freshly squeezed orange juice. Lovely town square with good restaurants and friendly waitstaff. Small fresh fruit and vegetable market and fresh fish on the docks. Very nice large beach close to town and several smaller beaches close by. Challenging hiking paths were also close by. We used Ferragudo as our base while we explored all of the Algarve. Parking the car was a problem but that seems to be the case in all of Portugal.

Train station area is terrible, but hotel area is like a different world.
As busses are often late, you can cross the bridge on foot and after 2,5 km you are in Portimao, where is big Shopping center etc.
Charming hotel set in the middle of old town overlooking the harbor. Luisa (the lovely manager) gave me a tour when I arrived. She set the tone for my experience. Warm and welcoming. And, gave me a recommendation (Ferragudo’s Terrace) for the best meal I’ve had in quite a while.
My bright chic room had a veranda with a view of the Arade. And, it’s just a short walk thru a labyrinth of cobbled stone walkways and stairs to restaurants and the beaches.
Nice modern hotel with good facilities. Views from the terrace are outstanding. Spacious, modern and very clean room, large comfortable beds, fridge. Clean and great bathroom. Nice eating area with seating indoors and outdoors. Beautiful outdoor pool (unfortunately could in the February) with great views of the river and sunsets. Big free parking. Good wifi. The quality of breakfast was good, although it could be more choices.
the entire hotel was spotlessly clean and could not be faulted. room was cleaned every day and all communal areas were well kept. staff were very helpful and friendly. The beach was also beautiful and had a lovely walk down to it from the pool. Location was great a short drive into ferragudo for shops/restaurants and maybe 15 minutes from portimao. parking on site too which was free. woul definitely stay again!
Excellent location, right in the centre of Ferragudo. Very spacious property, clean and comfortable. Large kitchen with everything you need but lovely restaurants within walking distance so minimal cooking done. Gorgeous outside space, which is probably fab in warmer weather. Very clear instructions on accessing property & friendly agent. WiFi & TV nice extras but we were out most of our visit exploring.

So spacious with a fabulous private terrace and chic interior. More than amply equipped. Easy walk to the beach or a neat little hike down, worth exploring. Clean and comfortable. A car is strongly recommended and free parking provided. Pretty sunset view. Just wonderful!
The staff were exceptionally friendly. Always cheerful and happy to help. The location is perfect for what we wanted - an easy 5 minute walk into Ferragudo. The facilities are excellent and the hotel was always really clean.
Wendy and Mario, the hosts, were really kind to us and made the remote key-handling process very simple.
The apartment is comfortable, clean and very well located within minutes of beaches and restaurants.
It was a wedding anniversary gift. All staff super nice and helpful. The breakfast with a large variety. If you are looking for a quiet place with amazing sunrise and sunset it is the perfect hotel.
