What you would expect from a 1* hotel for bed and breakfast. It was clean and in a good location so no problems with it whatsoever 👍
The Viajante Low Cost Hotel is sited within 7 km from Estremoz and 8 km from Vila Viçosa. The hotel features an on site restaurant and is a 4-minute drive from the city of Borba.

Quite simply it's a no frills 1 night stopover, a place to kip but it has ample safe parking, it's disabled friendly, a really good restaurant and very inexpensive and friendly, it's also right in the middle of the Borba/Estremoz wine region. I have stayed a few times as a tourist and several times as a truck driver knowing I'll have a good meal and safe parking with no charge.
Hotel O Gadanha is located in the centre of Estremoz a 4-minute walk from the Castle of Estremoz. Free WiFi access is available.

The room we had was big, clean, with a nice view on the Plaza and close to the centre of the town. The breakfast was a feast for us because this was the first time a hotel offered it.
We could park or bicycles in a garage and the staff was very friendly.
Highly recommended!
Situated in Portugal's Évora province in the countryside surrounding Estremoz, Estremoz Hotel offers views of vineyards and nearby Evoramonte Castle, a 15-minute drive away.

The location of this hotel is fantastic, right at the top of the hill in Estromoz with fantastic views all around. Our room (superior double), had views overlooking the town and was very spacious and comfortable and there is a lift (which is unusual in these very old hotels in this area). This was a palace so it does still have a certain air of some formality about it, but it is amazing and considering how old it is, has been made very comfortable. You can walk to the top of the hotel tower which has a 360 degree panoramic view of the surrounding landscape and is just amazing. The staff were very helpful and friendly and we did have dinner in the hotel, which was exceptional and the staff very attentive. There is so much to offer in this hotel and it is well worth staying there. The breakfast was fantastic, offering so much choice and again the dining room - very palatial as is everywhere in this hotel. There is plenty of parking space outside and a lovely swimming pool and terrace to sit and enjoy your Alentejo wines. I would definitely recommend staying here.

It was a little way out of Estremoz and Google maps couldn't find the address but I messaged the host in advance and she provided exact GPS coordinates which worked perfectly. Super quiet, well equipped and the back patio was beautiful. Everything worked and the Wifi was good. Host was very responsive.
Located in Estremoz, in a historic building, 31 km from Cathedral of Evora Se, Quinta de Evoramonte is a holiday home with an infinity pool and garden.

Great little town in the Alentejo on the border with Spain.
Great little town in the Alentejo on the border with Spain. Fantastic market on Saturday morning and the tile museum which is fabulous. There are many wineries in the area and some really good restaurants - Howard's Folly, Merceria Gadanha and the restaurant Gadanha in the hotel.

We loved the town and the efforts gone to celebrate Christmas. We also highly recommend the restaurants we visited and the friendly and helpful staff. In particular the staff at the cafe KIMBO who went out of their way to help when I left my phone there!

Greate place to visit on a weekend, and escaping the agitation of by cities. I recommend being saturday morning in Estremoz and enjoy the market that happens on saturdays until lunch time. In the market you can find many fresh foods. The variety of cheeses is good.

It was a nice town and had a restaurant that we never got around to because it was raining and we ate at the one 50 years from castle reception area. Its a great spot to use as a base as we went to Elvas (great castle and square), Evora, Vila Vicosa from here and returned. You could also do several other towns.

Typical Portuguese historic city, so if history, castles,...
Typical Portuguese historic city, so if history, castles, churches and monuments are your remit/bag then Estremoz has a lot to offer. It also has a marble quarry/hill on its outskirts that makes it Europes 2nd largest marble producer apparently, interesting or is a blot on the landscape? We thought not but reserve full judgement.

Christina is very thoughtful and nice.. she gave us recommendations of places to visit and she has everything in the house from books to playing cards. The house is also very beautiful and clean. It is well located, not so far from the city center, very near to the castle and has a nice view. We definitely recommend this place !
A stylish and tranquil property in the beautiful
town of veiros. The property had its own pool and
outdoor area which was perfect for us as a family.
The kitchen was well equipped and the main bedroom and bathroom were spacious Small local supermarket, bars and restaurants
nearby. Very communication with the host.
This was a delightful gem in Estremoz. The staff was wonderful and the chef is passionate and super kind and friendly. breakfast was wonderful and we were sad not to be able to be there when they were open for dinner. We were there during the off season in January, so the town was quiet. Beautiful little city.
My mom wanted to stay in a castle once in her life and we fulfilled her wishes. Property is very grand and impressive and the breakfast buffet is impressive. Staff was helpful and hotel can't be better located in Estremoz. We were provided rooms that were in front of each other as requested.
We liked everything! Location on the top square of old medieval square, parking next to the hotel, exterior and interior like from historic books but with all modern functionality, dinner in hotel’s restaurant was fabulous! Recommend this place!
This is a beautiful apartment in a perfect location in Estremoz. Very close to the main square. The place is very clean and well appointed! Filipe and Paula are great hosts! Highly recommended!
Our favorite place in Portugal. Gracious hosts, beautiful house and pool, comfy beds and amazing breakfasts.. Close to town with incredible restaurants. Our second visit and we hope to visit again.
POUSADA DE ESTREMOZ IS WELL KNOWN. I WAS USED TO STAY THERE FOR MANY YEARS FOR ITS POSITIVE ASPECTS (LOCATION; SERVICE; QUALITY).
EMPLOYEES ARE STILL NICE BUT THEY CANNOT MAKE MIRACLES.
It's a charming hotel in an excellent location. It's walking distance to the center of Estremoz. Parking on-site which can be a rare find. Great breakfast and a nice outdoor seating area.
The owner of the hotel is kind. Even the restaurant has a thing that you should really try if you want to travel into Portugal. Just for the restaurant the experience worth the hotel
