This was my second time staying at this hotel. They upgraded us to a nicer room for free, which was great. Since my last visit, I've noticed they are renovating the rooms, so it's looking a lot better than the first time I was there. They also have a very basic breakfast buffet included in the price, which is nice to have.

Superbly run hostel by Augusto and Camilla who live on site. So calm, relaxing, great decor and spacious rooms, garden, patio , kitchen etc etc. Great coffee machine.
At about a 2 minute stroll from the city centre, situated on top of a small hill looking out over Praia do Sul, you’ll find our colorful surfhouse Chill In Ericeira.

I didn't find anything special about this place that I would recommend anyone visit unless you're a surfer. I would say about 3-5 sights worth seeing, but nothing that you can't see anywhere else along the coast. If you're not a surfer, maybe try somewhere else. You need a car unless you love walking hills and long streets with little to nothing on them.

Great surfing beaches for all levels, and lots of availability to hire board and wetsuits and other gear. Lots of lessons available from great expert teachers. Restaurants in town are sublime and the bars are open til 3am. Best place we ate at was a Mexican place called Calavera, Very easy to walk around or get an uber, but also easy by car, lots of parking available unless it's a Sunday! Avoid waiting for your first surf lesson, after 2 lessons you're pretty much a intermediate and can catch waves on your own whilst practicing!!

Ericeira is possibly one of the best places I ever have...
Ericeira is possibly one of the best places I ever have visited, local fisherman village now with a busy life particularly with surfers, great place to visit, being for relaxing or busy with water activities, the surrounding area is also worth a visit like Mafra and Torres Vedras, and a stone through to Sintra and Cascais.

Ericeira is an absolute gem. There are lots of lovely sandy beaches which still feel rustic and not too busy, great surfing for beginners (like us!) and the more experienced, and a really lovely town with amazing restaurants and beautiful cobbled streets.

We stayed in Ericeira for 14 days and we loved it, nice climate if it isn't too windy. We spend most of the time at the beach, kids surfing or body boarding. There are lot's of restaurants in Ericeira and the food is good and there is quite a bit of variety.
With a car is is easy to get to other places like Mafra and Sintra. Sintra, while very beautiful is also very touristy which is detrimental to the experience, as it is with so many places nowadays.
The host made our stay very comfortable with an easy check-in and check-out! We felt very comfortable and at home in the nice room with the belcony! It is a 15 min walk to the closest beach (with a nice restaurant) and 10 min only to a nice supermarket and surf shop, where you can eat meals and from where our surfing lessons started. The city center of Ericeira is a bit far but very beautiful!!
Stayed here multiple times and love it, always good people and relaxed vibe and the Camilla and Augusto who run it are amazing. Nice walk to the cliffs and the best beach a walk away,
I prefer visiting Portugal with a car else can be long walks to get around otherwise. The issue I have with ericeira is the cars that go through the town can be a bit noisy. But will always come back here.
The location was fantastic. , close to town to either walk or use the hotel bicycles. Across the rd from the beach. We loved having all the facilities of a hotel but the privacy of our own apartment which was so spacious and well equipped. Loved the thoughtful details. The staff were amazing. Dinner at the on site restaurant was superb. Had a great massage at the spa too.
We loved our stay as Casa das Aguarelas! We had a lovely, bright, spacious room that had an ocean view. Susan (the manager) was very friendly and welcoming. The property was clean and well taken care of. We loved Ericeira and would definitely stay here again- but for longer next time!
We stayed here exactly one year ago and came back. The location is great; you walk right into the main street of the centre. It is a family-run place and the people are very friendly. The rooms are simple but clean. There is a small but handy parking garage under the hotel.
The hotel has everything you need so there is no need to leave (unless exploring the town of Ericiera). Everything from the restaurant to the spa facilities are excellent. Every small detail is thought of. The staff at every turn were exceptional and always of assistance
The property and surroundings are beautiful. The accommodations are super clean, very well done (plenty of space and lovely) super relaxed and friendly. It is located a short walk to the ocean and into the darling town with plenty of restaurants, shops, cafes, etc.
Lovely decorated hotel. Felt like we were isolated on an island when in fact your on a main pedestrian area. Breakfast was a nice bonus and well sourced. Location was perfect for getting to beaches, restaurants and parking. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Area was very peaceful and the accommodations were incredibly clean. Bed was amazingly comfortable, room smelled like an upscale spa. Breakfast was also really lovely. Absolutely loved it and wish we could have stayed longer.
