This was my second time staying at this hotel. They upgraded us to a nicer room for free, which was great. Since my last visit, I've noticed they are renovating the rooms, so it's looking a lot better than the first time I was there. They also have a very basic breakfast buffet included in the price, which is nice to have.

Superbly run hostel by Augusto and Camilla who live on site. So calm, relaxing, great decor and spacious rooms, garden, patio , kitchen etc etc. Great coffee machine.

I didn't find anything special about this place that I would recommend anyone visit unless you're a surfer. I would say about 3-5 sights worth seeing, but nothing that you can't see anywhere else along the coast. If you're not a surfer, maybe try somewhere else. You need a car unless you love walking hills and long streets with little to nothing on them.

Great surfing beaches for all levels, and lots of availability to hire board and wetsuits and other gear. Lots of lessons available from great expert teachers. Restaurants in town are sublime and the bars are open til 3am. Best place we ate at was a Mexican place called Calavera, Very easy to walk around or get an uber, but also easy by car, lots of parking available unless it's a Sunday! Avoid waiting for your first surf lesson, after 2 lessons you're pretty much a intermediate and can catch waves on your own whilst practicing!!

Ericeira is possibly one of the best places I ever have...
Ericeira is possibly one of the best places I ever have visited, local fisherman village now with a busy life particularly with surfers, great place to visit, being for relaxing or busy with water activities, the surrounding area is also worth a visit like Mafra and Torres Vedras, and a stone through to Sintra and Cascais.

Ericeira is an absolute gem.
Ericeira is an absolute gem. There are lots of lovely sandy beaches which still feel rustic and not too busy, great surfing for beginners (like us!) and the more experienced, and a really lovely town with amazing restaurants and beautiful cobbled streets.

We stayed in Ericeira for 14 days and we loved it, nice climate if it isn't too windy. We spend most of the time at the beach, kids surfing or body boarding. There are lot's of restaurants in Ericeira and the food is good and there is quite a bit of variety.
With a car is is easy to get to other places like Mafra and Sintra. Sintra, while very beautiful is also very touristy which is detrimental to the experience, as it is with so many places nowadays.
1. Hostel reception works 24/7. Reception guys know their job very good, always polite, reasonable and helpful.
2. Really big territory of a hostel, which includes spacious co-working, dining areas, pool, skateboarding facilities, inside and outside bars, bbq facilities.
3. View of ocean is amazing from any point of a hostel. The view is not obstructed by buildings or constructions.
4. Fresh air and Quietness in the nights as no highways in the vicinity.
5. Hostel can arrange transfer to/from Lisbon airport.
This hotel was a surprise find for us. The quality / price ratio is exceptional. Our room had a beautiful balcony with a table/lounge chair to take in those fantastic ocean views. Breakfast is included, we appreciated the local breads and the fabulous coffee. Free parking is available everywhere and we were lucky to park right next to the hotel entrance. Overall, a great stay. Obrigado! We will be back.
We couldn’t wish for a better stay! The accommodation had everything we needed. Great beds, a bbq, beautiful garden, just a 10min walk from the town, great WiFi for remote ‘work’, there even was a very spacious broom closet which has been of great use. Host Rosa was the best, she even baked us a very nice cheesecake upon arrival. And provided us with some beach towels since we forgot to pack them.
We absolutely loved our stay here. An airy, spacious apartment with fantastic facilities. Comfy beds, really dark in the bedrooms with the shutters closed, washing machine, dishwasher, coffee machine with pods. We wouldn't fault a thing. Good outside space too. Close to shops, beach and town - 5 min walk. If we come to Ericeira again, we will stay here! It was perfect.

Great place to stay. Susi is a wonderful host and very well organized. The beds are comfortable and the room had plenty of storage to properly unpack. Walking to the beach is fairly easy on the path, nature walks on the paths above the cliffs are a short walk away. Ericeira runs on Uber and everything else is a very short Uber away.
This is the best property that we’ve ever stayed in Portugal. Everything was perfect. The villas are amazing, cosy and almost make you feel at home. Really well decorated, with a lot of amazing details for families with young children. The owner is super nice and he personally made the check in.
We just loved it.
Breakfast was great with all the fresh things you'd expect plus cooked eggs to order. Hotel is very well placed for the lovely town and Luis was an excellent host and always on hand. It was a short stay but I was impressed with the value for money and personality of Hotel Camarao.
It was first time at Ericeira and Portugal. Very friendly and hospitality crew. I felt like visited my friends home during stay there.
I got my first surf lessons from guys and they are professional and really enjoyed. Definitely recommended and next time stay again there :)
We had a wonderful time at Eco Soul Ericeira which is ideally located next to the beach. We enjoyed the fact that the hotel is quiet (no kids). We loved the homemade breakfast and the beautiful garden and terrace overlooking the beach.

My room had it's own private terrace which was fantastic to chill out on. Room was super spacious too and the bed very comfy.

I didn’t know that it was like a hostel, never mentioned that on the website. And didn’t know I had to share my bathroom if I would’ve known earlier I would’ve just got a hotel.
I shared the bathroom with males & they were untidy.
I've lived in Ericeira for several years. Came back this weekend for my daughter's wedding. Stayed at Pedro o Pescador, and without surprised what an amazing stay! I highly recommend this Hotel and obviously Ericeira!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Lovely friendly welcome from the volunteers.They made us feel right at home . Queen size bed with ensuite . Clean and tidy ,kitchen well equiped and space to eat breakfast in the dining room .Good private parking in front .
