The pool and pool area were amazing and moder and never too busy. The room was tidy and clean with a lovely bathroom and big shower. Breakfast was a really good selection including for vegetarian options, and really well presented with some variety across the week. Shuttle service to town was very helpful. The restaurant/bar area was beautiful overlooking the pool and surrounding areas. Overall feel was very modern, well looked after and a high service level

Absolutely fantastic town with wonderful & friendly local people, a great variety & quality of restaurants and beautiful endless beaches which you reach with the pleasant ferry ride. The hotel itself and its courtyard are beautiful and the breakfasts wonderful. The young staff were all really friendly, especially the waiter & bartender Andreia who with her genuinely lovely smile made you feel at home & looked after.

The staff were so incredibly helpful,nothing was too much trouble. The location was great, easy walk to the town. Breakfast had a very good selection.

We found this hotel to be really lovely. Despite some really negative reviews.
The staff work really hard and try their best. I agree some are not overly chatty/smiley, but that is because they are very busy
The food is good, there are lots of options. Food was well presented and fresh. We used the Grill and Rio restaurant (you got a voucher for 1 visit to each per stay, booking 24 hours before hand) The grill was ok but preferred the other one.
The wine was free poor from bottles, not those horrible tap wines you get in some all-inclusive.
The cocktails were a little bland/pre mixed, but you could up grade if that is your thing.
The pool area is lovely. There are lots of nice seating areas too.
We used the boat to the beach, that was really fun. We walked into Cabanas, a lovely little place. We also got a taxi into Tavira. It's worth exploring and costs approximately 15 euro.
Rooms are very clean and well serviced. Ours had a shaded balcony in the afternoon/evening. Not facing the pool etc but we could still see the estuary and the sea, so we were happy enough.
All in all, we had a superb time. Don't be put off with all the negative comments on other reviews..

Once over the rustic charm of the decor everything was great. Clean rooms, lots of hot water, good TV and excellent WiFi, fantastic location, very friendly people and excellent food.
Centrally located in Tavira, Pousada de Juventude de Tavira is just 500 metres from the Train Station. The youth hostel is 2.5 km from the harbour connecting with Tavira Island and its renowned beach....
