Monte Santo is a really nice resort. Apartments are really nice and spacious, we had a lovely outdoor area on the ground floor which was perfect with a young baby. Housekeeping were great, they cleaned every day with fresh towels too.
Pool area is lovely and great having an indoor pool too. Overall we had a really nice stay.

It is located nearby most of the interesting sightseeing spots of Carvoeiro. The room was super clean and looked like new, the bed was very comfortable. Also there is a nice swimming pool available which can be used any time of the day. The breakfast was also delicious with a large variety to eat and drink.

We chatted with our hosts everyday who readily helped us with restaurant suggestions , routes to travel and many local tips of the area! The area was extremely quiet and had great parking facilities and we easily walked to the supermarket and a fantastic Portuguese restaurant across the road!

Carvoeiro is a really cute town! It wasn't too crowded and had a ton of restaurants and shops. We walked along the Algar Seco trail to town and then took the tuk tuk provided by our hotel (Tivoli) back.
In my opinion, Carvoeiro was the perfect mid-point location in The Algarves. Easy to head in either direction to see many sites and towns (Lagos and Sagres in one direction; Albufeiro and Faro in the other direction).
We rented a car and found driving to be pretty easy (we did take one wrong turn and ended up on a street meant only for walking), but other than that, following gps directions and signage was good.

Carvoeiro was excellent, smaller and quieter than some of the other towns and still had more restaurants than you can visit in a week and they all were excellent. Easy walk to multiple beaches and lots of exploring to do with the Seven Hanging Valleys trail so close. No need for a car everything was a short walk. Carvoeiro Tours was an excellent boat tour of the caves that picked us up right on the beach. Boneca Bar in the Algar Seco was just a fantastic lunch stop after the tour for drinks and more exploring.

We were there in November, weather was rainy and windy the first day, but sunny and 65 the second day. This is a hard town to get to from Seville, so we ended up hiring a driver to take us from Seville to Faro where we rented a car and drove to Carvoeiro. Lovely little town. We ate at O Cantinho and A Gale, both traditional Portuguese restaurants that I would highly recommend. Great boardwalk along the cliffs above the ocean. Easy to walk around, hilly, but that did not bother us. Pretty short drive to Praha Marinha where we hiked the the seven hanging valleys trail. All in all, a great spot for exploring the Algarve. I would very much like to go back here.

We have been to this area before and like it’s proximity to the town, you can walk there is 30 mins, Carvoeira, also there are supermarkets cafes and restaurants nearby, some of the later you can walk to. There are several interesting towns nearby such as Alvor and Silves and beautiful boardwalks at Alvor and Salgados plus the lovely walk at beach at Pria do Vale de Centeanes.
Favourite place to eat for us have been O Algar at Benagil, La Bella Vita, Primavera plus Organic or Earth for breakfast/ brunch and Decadente for coffee snacks and drinks in the evening.

Highly recommend both Café Fino or The Earth Café for breakfast.

we walked the boardwalk on the edge of the cliff ,had lunch and dinner many times down near the ocean ,saw the famous caves ,lounged atop the cliff in restaurant Benagil lovely picturesque view , take it all in it will be an experience you will cherish for life. enjoy
Beautifully decorated and clean apartment with everything you could possibly want. We were left fruit and coffee pods which were greatly appreciated - especially the oranges to use with the juicer for fresh juice in the morning! Extremely comfy and large beds with air con in every room. Only a 5min walk from Carvoeiro centre and the beach and another 5 to some class restaurants and cafes in the other direction. Loved our stay! There are two rooms so it would be ideal for a stay with two couples or a family.
The location is absolutely fantastic. The property is beautiful and incredibly well maintained. Our apartment was squeaky clean and tastefully decorated. It was also very, very large. Our balcony overlooked the main two of the eight pools and the sea. The pools are super clean. We were there in October and the weather was still warm enough to swim in the pool and the sea. The reception desk is very helpful. The guests in the adjacent apartments were all very friendly.

Casa Julio is a beautiful, very spacious, and very clean apartment with really nice features (including a super balcony, an excellent kitchen, rooftop terrace and barbecue, and a really good smart TV.)
It's also in a super location, with access to downtown and the praia and also the charming quieter areas of Carvoeiro - absolutely ideal for us.
I took a solo trip over the Christmas week in search of sun and relaxation. The staff was friendly, the hotel was lovely, the food was great, and I had the opportunity to relax, read, and reflect. All the restaurants accommodated me as a solo traveler, and thank you to the evening shift staff who woke me up to catch my taxi for a 6 am flight (after I accidentally fell asleep). The staff at the Spa were lovely and the massage was just what I needed.
This was a nice little hotel, and the owners were superb. The location is excellent--a short distance away from the beach, but away from the hubbub of the tourist area. There are a couple of grocery stores less than a mile away. The breakfast was outstanding with just about anything you could want for breakfast on a nicely laid out buffet. We got a parking ticket in Faro while we were visiting, and the owner helped us figure out how to pay it.
This location was absolutely perfect for a family stay. The apartment was light, quiet, and quaint. The bed was very comfortable, AC worked well, and kitchen had everything you’d need for a short stay. The amenities nearby were perfect, markets and plenty of food options meters from the door. The beach was just down the street—towels/Sun umbrella/beach chairs were also available at the property. We were sad to leave! We loved our stay.
The room was spacious and airy. the air conditioning was not too loud. There was plenty of wardrobe space and hangers. Tea/coffee was provided and water was left in the mini fridge. The bed was comfortable. My room had a balcony which led out to the pool but was still private. The hotel is situated within 2 minutes walk off the main centre but far enough away to avoid night time noise. The TV was a lovely addition.

The hotel is at the top of the hill, so you would need to drive to the beach, restaurants, shops and cafes. Good location for visiting wineries, hiking trails and smaller towns along the Algarve; all a few minutes drive away from Carvoeiro.
The apartment was absolutely beautiful, super clean and bright with great decor. The property is also beautiful with nice amenities (pool, tennis court), and the receptionists were nice and super helpful. It’s also in such a great location, with many shops, restaurants, grocery stores and the beach just a short walk away.
Best one for the value in Carvoeiro in my opinion. The waterview definitely worth it for an extra 20E over the street view. Breakfast was fantastic, and the crew, especially at intake take their time and were very helpful with our short stay in this part of Algarve. Everything is within walking distance
