The location is good. Close to the trainstation, close to the beach. All at walking distance. There's a small mall right next door and there are also quite a few restaurants in the neighborhood. The water bottles, coffee and tea are replaced every day. Breakfast is just perfect with enough choices. The spa was also nice with an inside pool (for colder/rainy days) and the massages we had were very good. Parking underneath the hotel was also a plus.

My stay at Lisbon Surf Hostel was entirely enjoyable. I needed an affordable place for two nights close to the beach. This hostel is very clean given the circumstances. The facilities were all very good and the manager as well as his staff super friendly. While I was there they hosted a large group of students and given the circumstances it was a bit noisy, but nothing you wouldn't expect from a hostel. The staff kindly warned me beforehand. The wifi works well, they offer surfing and yoga classes.
Very notable: they have an amazing table which fits 20 (?) people made out of one piece.

Carcavelos Surf Hostel is an excellent place to stay! It is in a great location: a short walk to the beach, grocery, cafes, and 10-minutes to the metro. Everyone working there made my son (17) and I feel welcome, including the owner, Jose. We have stayed in many hostels across multiple countries and CSH is very safe, affordable, and well maintained.

A Faded Jewel in need of refreshment BUT you can't take away from the beach and its amenities. Signs of new cafes and restaurants starting up, but the impression is the crowds come from the city anyway so why make a huge effort :-) There is no real centre as we could see, just a linear settlement unlike villages up the Marginal or further in towards Lisbon.

Parts of Carcavelos away from the train line are actually quite nice. It's quite a sleepy little town outside of summer. The main beach is really for surfing not swimming. We were there in September and the water was already too cold. There are some nicer beaches to swim at close by but not really serviced by pubic transport.
It doesn't really have a great number of good restaurants and feels a little bit like a town than the locals commute into the city from.
Probably more of a day trip from Lisbon as opposed to somewhere to base yourself for a large amount of time unless you intend to surf.

A very well situated town for the ones who want to visit...
A very well situated town for the ones who want to visit Lisbon and other tourist attractions. A very good and cheap public transport. Very clean, wide and safe beaches. Possibility to walk along the coastline. Numerous shops and restaurants. Helpful natives. Clean air.
The Yucca House was perfect for our family of 4. The apartment, which is the ground floor of the property, comfortably sleeps 6. The location is 5 star. It's a 5 minute walk to Carcavelos Beach in one direction and a 5 minute walk to the train station in the other. Lisbon is an easy 35 minute train ride.
We had a great time at the Yucca House. The back yard and swimming pool are TOP!

The apartment is very large and is in a quiet location. There is plenty of on-street parking, even in the middle of summer. The kitchen is reasonably well-equipped and the WiFi signal is good. Easy access to the train station and the beach is not too far. If you have a car, it is also easy to travel into Lisbon along the coast road. As we were there for a concert at the national stadium, it was the perfect location, as the stadium is easily reached by car or train. There is an elevator in the apartment building.
This apartment was great. Rooms were clean, fully equipped with all you need on daily basis. Very kind was also gift for our kids - set of sand toys. We really enjoyed our stay, it is very close to beach, Riviera shopping mall and a square full of restaurants. Owners were always willing to advise us with practical information (train, bus...). There was a small issue regarding last day stay, however, owner managed it great and was very helpful. Overall, I can strongly recommend this stay.
Loved everything about Lisbon Surf Hostel. Staff and volunteers were super friendly and the property was kept very clean. It's close to the beach and train station, making it easy to check out the waves of the region. It also had board racks and a place to rinse and dry wetsuits. Probably the best kitchen setup I've seen in a hostel too. I extended my stay many times and will definitely be back soon!
It is very nice hotel. Room very comfortable, breakfast ideally balanced, location just 400 meters from the beach. On top of that the fitness, External and internal (do not forget the swimming cap) swimming pools. Very friendly and helpful staff, mostly speaking a very good English or French. In reality the hotel looks much, much better than in the photos in the Booking.com
The inn-keeper, Rosa, is incredibly friendly - she makes you feel like family. Unlike other hotels in the area, water is included here. Units are spacious and amenities are luxurious. It is also in an incredibly safe area surrounded by several busy restaurants. Fortunately, it does not get loud nonetheless.
Wonderful apartment in a great location close to beach and rail station with regular trains to Lisbon. The flat was extremely clean and comfortable. There is a supermarket/shops nearby and a choice of bars and restaurants. I would highly recommend this apartment for a stay on the estoril coast.
