Great Pool (but cold) and area around it. Rooms are comfortable. Breakfast offers gluten free options which was very nice. Lots of fresh fruit and different options. Sitting outside was possible. Sunday Yoga lessons are great.

Rooms were spacious and clean, breakfast included a good range of options (fry up, pancakes, continental etc), great pool and bar. Very easy walking distance to pretty much anywhere in Tavira and only 5 mins from the ferry to the island/beaches. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful at all times.

Vila Galé Albacora is a 4-star resort, set in a rehabilitated tuna fishing camp amongst Ria Formosa Natural Park. It is close to the Island of Tavira and a 15-minute drive from Faro Airport.

We enjoyed the hotel and its village feeling. We did not have time to visit the museum there, but just by walking around, we got the feeling of the restoration that took place there, reusing a tuna fishing workshop. The room was not very big, but we had a small terrace to rest late in the afternoon (take repellent!). The swimming pool, spa, and interior pool are all great. The breakfast is also good, but needs more frequent replenishment, as the hotel is very big and with many people there supplies disappear very fast.

Very nice hotel, close the superb beach and good facilities. Price was very good, as they just started opening the Hotel again after some upgrading of the rooms; not all rooms yet finished, but was not all a problem. Good breakfast etc.

It is very easy to find the hotel with a gps. It is not in the city centre, but we were able to drive easily into town and park. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Coffee is available 24/7 in the lobby. We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Don Rodrigues. Our room was spacious, clean and had everything as described in the amenities list. Breakfast was something to mention. It had everything one would expect af a normal continental breakfast, but what made it special was a cake table with at least eight different kinds of cakes and tarts. They even had a pasteie de Nata, like a custard tart, that was really delicious. How I wish I could get the recipe. ;-D On check-out they gave each of us a very special pen, which was a nice surprise. I can recommend this hotel to anyone travelling on a budget.
