The serene ambiance of the place was amazing. So nicely maintained garden, pool, terrace and the overall athmposphere was very nice for a couple of days.

As a family from the UK, we're very aware of the Algarve's reputation for 'Brits abroad'. And we wanted to stay somewhere less rowdy and more authentically Portuguese. We read that Armação de Pêra is popular with Portuguese visitors, and that the vibe is a lot more chilled and family friendly than e.g. Albufeira. Thankfully, this was absolutely correct – the town had a lovely relaxed atmosphere and everyone was very welcoming. The beach is absolutely stunning and never felt crowded. There's a great choice of restaurants and everywhere is reasonably priced, at least for us who are used to paying GBP. And the vibe at night was very chilled. It also takes only 40 minutes by taxi to get to Faro airport – so it really is ideal if you have a young family. The town itself is not the prettiest, as it's mostly modern apartment blocks. But there's enough charm and character along and near the promenade to make it pleasant to stroll around. And, honestly, you're going to want to spend all your time on the beautiful beach anyway.

The town is big but most houses and some shops seemed closed (late October, early November) but you can find anything you need and it's a good location to travel both East and west fo the Algerve.

I stay here regularly, its a great town a mix of local and visiting people, but nothing like Albufeira, the beach is perfect for running, swimming.
The Market is wonderful.
The highlight of an trip here is a walk or bike ride on the coast, I recommend in a westerly direction towards Benagil

Apartment was clean and very well equipped, also air conditioned inlcuding bedrooms. Short walk to the beach, shops, restaurants, bars, including Bistro 176 and bar near kids playground. Some lovely reasonably priced restaurants Pera Bistro, Olivemar, Italian, Palm Beach.

Beautiful location. Relaxing and wonderful scenery gardens well maintained and rooms clean and air-conditioning perfect. Attentive and pleasant staff at reception and in dining areas. A fantastic location for a relaxing stay in beautiful cliff top location with wonderful beaches near by. Food good choices and fresh.

Beautiful beach, perfect break away in the quieter winter months. Holiday Inn is right on the beach and if you book a sea view room you won’t be disappointed. Some lovely Portuguese restaurants locally. Love coming back here whenever we can.

Vila Vita Parc is exceptional! It exceeded our expectations! Stayed at the apartments - event though located outside of the hotel walls, it is a 5 min walk and always can request a shuttle if needed. Apartment was as luxurious as the hotel grounds! More spacious! The breakfast and the food is excellent. The pool and the beach very relaxing, always free loungers and no kids allowed at the main infinity pool. Will visit again.
My husband and I stayed in Hotel Charme Capela das Artes for 6 days in our Algave Holiday and we loved the place. A charming & nice hotel. We loved the location near the beautiful beaches of Algarve , the very nice pool, the beautiful garden, and our room was very nice and clean. We loved the good breakfast.
The service especially from Julie was really great, there’s a good atmosphere, everything was fine.
Really enjoyed our stay here! The apartment was basic, but spacious, comfortable and clean. There’s an hourly minibus shuttle that runs into Armacao de Pera and back, which is really useful. Nice little cafe on site which offers a very good, well priced breakfast. 5-10 min walk to two excellent beaches. Would definitely come back!
It's possible that this hotell/B&B provided me with the friendliest and best service I've ever encountered. The staff were attentive and helpful in a very genuine way. It was obvious to me during my stay that this place is very well managed and that the staff enjoy their work. I couldn't recommend this place more.
This is an amazing hotel. From the minute you walk in the door, everything is so well thought out. The staff are all friendly, amazing, helpful and committed. The accommodation, restaurants, sports facilities, pools - everything is just so spot on. This has been a lovely 10 days at Vilalara. Highly recommended !!

The grounds were lovely. The hotel was very quiet. The room and bathroom were a good size with nice ameneties. The kitchenette was an added bonus. The spa was very nice but see below re pool. Breakfast was very extensive. 2 suppers in hotel also good especially the buffet starters and desserts.
An amazing place to stay. Armaçao de Pera is great! The apartment has a view of the beach. The swimming pool is right around the corner. The area is very nice.
