Room was dirty full of cobwebs. Maid did not clean room for 2 days , bedding is grubby, no storage for your clothes , room looked on to a dirt track , service charge on drinks. Drinks were overpriced. The staff were miserable and did not smile or say good morning, particularly a man at breakfast , after staying at the alvor praia this was a real disappointment, I do not recommend this property

First of all, the owner of the Club is the manager: he is there and on top of everything. He is a wealth of information. His advice to visit Évora was spot on. Secondly, the place is gorgeous both architecturally and naturally.
The beach and rock formations are stunning. The antiques throughout the hotel are gorgeous. Breakfast was not only nutritious but so generous.
Finally, the restaurants nearby offered great options and a variety of vibes. Loved this place and we will hopefully come back! Written by Richard's wife Mercedes

a cute quiet town with wonderful walks and beaches. Nice restaurants and bars and just enough shops for a potter around. Very easy to get around with all the boardwalks linking the town and the beaches. Lots of wonderful fish and seafood restaurants. A bit quiet for a family for more than a week unless you relish R&R.

Alvor is a lovely place to holiday,There is a boardwalk right along the beach and down to the nature reserve at one end. There are so many lovely restaurants and there is plenty of choice of types of meals on offer. We particularly like the restaurants servig Portuguese food and the fish restaurants by the harbour.
There is a local bus to Portimao and it is also possible to visit other places by bus.

I really liked Alvor - a small quiet town for relaxation. Picturesque coastline, friendly residents, many places to eat deliciously. A convenient place to visit the whole Algarve - Alvor is in the middle. The most beautiful place in Alvor for me is the old town and the beach. We ate a lot of seafood. Great local food, wine, coffee bike. We visited the farthest point in Europe, Cabo da Roca; the highest point in the Algarve - Monchique. I would love to come here again.
The location is fantastic, right on the beach/boardwalk, and approximately 1 km from the hub of restaurants in Alvor. Staff were very friendly, and always facilitated requests. I had to leave suitcases for collection as I unexpectedly had to return home by alternative means, and they were only too happy to look after me. Received truffles and free drinks when we arrived, breakfast is good, with plenty of variety, Room cleaned well everyday, and fresh towels in evening if required, certainly a hotel worth visiting.
We've stayed at this small hotel several times. Located in the middle of Alvor, short walks to everything, including pubs,, restaurants, shops and the river and the beach, but the neighbourhood is far enough from the pub district to be quiet. Very clean and comfortable, with a variety of different types of room, each with a balcony, some with a kitchen. Excellent Portuguese restaurant next door for lunch and especially dinner. Staff (Isabelle and Natasha) are wonderful and very helpful.
The house is modern and well equipped, it is really luxurious (not only in the name). It is located 1 min walk from the restaurants and commerce of Alvor, but still in a less noisy street. The rooftop with a jacuzzi is a fantastic bonus which was highly appreciated. Tatsiana was an excellent host, a very kind person and prepared a great breakfast.

Breakfast is great. Cooked breakfast could be kept at a higher temperature, but I can understand the difficulty when catering for a large number of guests.
Boardwalk is on your doorstep, and it's literally less than a 10-minute walk to the centre of Alvor.
The location of thos hotel is great. It is a 5 minute walk from the beachfront and about 15 minute walk to Alvor town. The hotel is spotless clean, great pool, very nice lobby and outdoor area. All the staff were very friendly and looked after us well. The rooms are modern and a comfortable bed.
Great hotel, large bedrooms with a great balcony. The swimming pool and outside facilities were great plenty of space and sun loungers. A good 15 mins walk into alvor centre, but we didn't mind that, also a great free bus ran regularly to and from the beach , Friendly staff :-)
Amazing view, totally worth it! Extremely nice and helpful hosts. We booked on short notice and all arrangements were handled very professionally. The flat is fully equipped and right next to the beach as well as walking distance from the village of Alvor. Totally recommend!
People in location are friendly as most Portuguese are but there is not a lot to see except you are going to stay on the beach and have place to sleep. Alvor compare to other Algarve cities is not very attractive and you need to go to other places.
Spotless, modern apartment, very close to Alvor's restaurant/shopping/nightlife scene, and yet very quiet and peaceful. Centrally located with regards to beaches and nearby towns. We can't say enough about how helpful Jim (the owner) was.

Beautiful location on the beach and close to Alvor town. The room on the top floor (626) was great - large and clean with a gorgeous view. Breakfast was good and varied with something for everyone.

The house is beautiful and spacious. The pool and yard are stunning. It's exactly what we hoped for in a stay in beachy Alvor. Access to the beach, harbor, and town were easy on foot.
Hotel is located just outside the main part of Alvor and easy to walk in to the resort area. Breakfast was basic but ok. Off street parking at rear was good.
