I didn't see, or use much of the Hotel.
However the room was well appointed and comfortable.
The Owner was very nice and friendly.
She, even recalculated the price of my room, after confirming it was for single occupancy. (Half the price I was expecting.

Nice spacious place, vast grounds in beautiful landscape... Convenient location close to Almodôvar. I stayed many times out of choice while renovating my house in the Alentejo region.

Breakfast was excellent and staff super nice. The rooms and common spaces were clean. There was a tiny kitchen with sink, fridge and microwave we were allowed to use.

On arrival my bike was very dirty and I was given an area to clean my bike with a hose and a safe area to store it. Extremely grateful for this extra effort by the owner

Almodóvar is a lovely village not too touristic, its rather a place where people live and also very close to Algarve. It has all amenities from health services to supermarkets, cinema, municipal pool and great restaurants and cafes with the delicious traditional costas and folhados de gila. It has a beautiful church and convent, a museum, a dam and a beautiful view point at the Ermida de St Amaro where there is always a lovely breeze. A great place for a few days of quiet time.

We loved to eat at TASQUINHA O MEDRONHO for dinner, breakfast at Sarita and pls stop for bread at Boutique do Pão Quente

A typical small country town with some historical interest.
A typical small country town with some historical interest. Relaxing and watching the world go by at the pastelaria in the square was very enjoyable. In the evening the Restaurant Almodovar offered an excellent selection of typical dishes, very well prepared, with friendly service, and very good value for money.
