This is a beautiful apartment and has all u need, 20mins in an uber u can visit faro,quarteria, quinta do lago, vilamoura about 30mins, ubers very reasonable priced , Debra your host response very quickly to you and you also have Alison who is head of the team working here she will meet you on arrival, also when we arrived there was a welcome pack of essentials to start to stay , which was great, very quite and relaxing break had by all.

Liked the well appointed kitchen for cooking and storing food in fridge. Aircon in bedroom was a plus. Bedroom was a good size. Outdoor living area was also great. Nice and quiet for sleeping.
The beach was not really walking distance. Train was close. Shops not too far.

Almancil is a wonderful little village, close to everything...
Almancil is a wonderful little village, close to everything you might need and plenty of other places of interest are only 15 minutes away by car.
We found that although it was full of Portuguese charm, it was a very popular holiday destination.
We had the opportunity to try Juncalinho, Borges and Nuno's which were lovely and served traditional Portuguese food, which is what we were hoping for on our holiday. We also got a takeaway from Brasa Frango & Co, which was fantastic if you fancy a night in. The chicken and peri peri sauce was perfect.
We will definitely go back to Almancil!

I would recommend Almacil for solo travellers who want to...
I would recommend Almacil for solo travellers who want to get away and see the beautiful country of Portugal. Public transport via bus are short walks away and easy to find via google maps. Key places are a short journey away such as Faro, Quarteira and Albufeira. Plenty of places to eat and also has two supermarkets, one of them being Aldi which has most things you could possibly need. I found the locals very friendly and overall i felt safe wondering around and exploring.
Would i go again? no because ide rather be by the beach but thats a personal preference although the beach is short bus journey away but not really walkable as it takes around 1.5 hours to walk.

This town has a range of supermarkets, many restaurants, some cafes and a gem - the Church of St Lawrence (Igreja de São Lourenço). This is lined from floor to ceiling with tiles, which depict stations of the cross and much more. The tiles are highlighted with gilded wood carvings, especially around the alter.

almancil is a very large town there is a huge hypermarket there some lovely local restuarants .very cheap to eat and drink in could not find much nightlife but its only twenty minutes from villamoura.

Lovely apartment with quaint pool and surroundings. Staff were exceptional and the whole hotel is spotlessly clean. Fantastic location i rented a car so this place was an amazing base. Breakfast was delicious fresh and more than sufficient. I had a wonderful balcony room with views over the pool. Wonderful restaurant next door. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Wonderful host. I want to say thank you for our stay at Almancil. Lovely and huge house with a terrace and bbq. Everything was clean and cozy. We have some minor issues with bed sheets (we booked for 8 but we had bed sheets for 6) but the host was in touch with me in messenger and fixed it really fast. Also he brought amazing candies for us and it was so cute :)
The property is beautiful and the location is very good. Car is necessary. Shop within 5 mins walk. Pool area amazing. Beach within 10 mins drive. Nice local restaurants in Almancil.
