Great place as the starting point to see the surroundings. The city itself is good for maybe one-evening sightseeing, but around Kartuzy there are so many beautiful places.
I recommend taking a bike trip as you can reach plenty of lakes areas etc.
In Kartuzy I ate at Mondo's. Pretty good food for a cheap prize.
This hotel is absolutely fantastic, I think this was my 4th or 5th stay here. Facilities are excellent, location is wonderful, food is good Polish/Kashubian home cooking and price is really good value for money. To top it all off the staff are extremely helpful and professional.
Oh, and getting here is really easy from Gdansk, Gdynia or the airport. Just take to train to Kartuzy station, cross the street, and then follow the Yellow Brick Road!
Very beautiful modern hotel with large green backyard, playground for kids, place for barbecue. Breakfast was delicious, especially pancakes with cottage cheese. There is shared kitchen on the ground floor so you can cook, if needed. The owners are kind and attentive. Everything was great!
