- Location - away from the noise, we basically didn't see any people the whole weekend but at the same time - close to the lake + not far from Elk, so it was easy to arrange groceries upon arrival. - Huge area to spend time - by the lake, BBQ-ing etc. - Clean house (we had the whole house to ourselves). - Additional option of booking a private sauna/spa session was amazing.

I was disappointed in this place but that was probably because I didn't read the small print. The place itself is lovely with a massive garden, a small lake, pedalo boats, crazy golf and lovely plants and shrubs. As it was Monday the bar and restaurant were closed and the place was completely dead. My room was on the ground floor, compact and adequate. The linen was reasonable. Breakfast was good and tasty. The overcast weather didn't help either.

Beautiful garden, well taken care off, many places to sit and walk. Beginning of September it was still beautiful and blooming. Good breakfast and dinner for reasonable price. The whole hotel was clean, neat and nicely finished. We also enjoyed a nice massage, but please reserve up front.
