We were on a 23 day road trip, and spent 2 days on Boracay, which was the only touristy area of the trip, however broadly speaking the island was well looked after and didn't feel too touristy considering, and Villa Caemilla goes hand in hand with that. It is positioned perfectly on White Beach, just behind a rare break in the coconut trees, meaning absolutely stunning views from the front restaurant and reception areas.
The Rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and the bathroom showers very nice. In particular I appreciated subtle design features such as the bathroom taps having water run down a short glass section before falling onto your hands!
The team here have really thought through all steps and looked at each part and thought, how can we do this better. From the refreshing drinks when you arrive, to the good bye cards, cookies and nicely made treasure box like keys you can take away with you at the end.
Additionally the team were super helpful. We were having some logistical issues with getting ferries in the days to follow our stay. 3 of the team went all out to find information and look at options around the clock, to what was an alarmingly complex and none centralised ferry system! One team member even went to the main land and helped with booking/payment for us, charging us just for his passenger fee to get there and do so. I mean...talk about going above and beyond!
Outside of the hotel front, the trees were beautiful, the white beach was absolutely stunning, and the sea a perfect temperature and perfectly clear. Sailing boats span the horizon, and ride past near by as people swim way out to sea in the shallow waters. Everything I can possibly think off reviewing about this location was just perfect.
The only other point, is they did slightly frustrate my wife, with an error on the room check and them not seeing an item so questioning if she had it.
