Lovely couple run this airport studio. Very helpful and kind. Close to the airport. Very clean and comfortable and has all possible amenities for a good night’s sleep before or after a long flight.

Stranded in Papeete by a cancelled flight, we found A TOMO MAI on Bookings.com. After the reservation had been confirmed, I called the owner, Ingrid, and requested her transport service. She was enthusiastic about helping and welcoming me, and her English (if that's important) was superb.
She arrived in minutes, and after a long day of frustrated airport waiting, it was a relief to know that I had a bed and not an airport floor. The accommodations are behind a secure gate, although one does have access at any hour since a gate key is provided. The room was superb! It is very modern, with a comfortable double bed, an air conditioner, and nice furnishings. The bathroom has a lovely vessel sink (a US nomenclature), nice toilet, and shower enclosure. Shampoo and body wash are available in dispensers in the enclosure. Towels are conveniently located.
There's TV as well as excellent Wifi: the Wifi password is listed on the bedside table top. One surprising thing is the collection of pottery and wall hangings that are personalized for her establishment. The effect of these are very professional and impressive.
The room is lovely, but Ingrid's bubbling personality is the real prize. She is willing to share her extensive knowledge of Papeete and villages nearby, and is a reservoir of knowledge. She has obviously worked hard to create a tiny oasis of quiet, comfort, and security for her guests and has completely succeeded. We thought that the price was extremely reasonable.
On arrival, after a brief tour of the room, Ingrid brought a sliced fresh papaya from a tree in her yard. That's the kind of touch that elevates this facility above many others.

Comfortable apartment with lovely views from rooftop pool. Prompt communication from host who also kindly arranged a taxi for our early morning departure. Apartment is very well equipped. There are no shops or restaurants within walking distance but our host let us know that before we arrived. Definitely need a rental car or use taxis for this location.

This is not only a fantastic property in a great location the hosts were absolutely amazing. They collected our family from the airport and dropped us off..

Breakfast was all supplied to us, including fresh croissants and bread!! Fruit bowls and complimentary mini bar..
This is a real Tahitian welcome and we would highly recommend this for anyone wishing to spend a few nights relaxing before or after their trip.

Faaa itself is OK.
Faaa itself is OK. It's the Royal room in the hills tgat was problematic.The room is not really as described. Seems it's run by someone else than the owner, possibly absentee house owner. Many people come and go from the Royal. One group came for a visit and occupied the terrace. They were polite and quiet but smoked, so no joining for us. The house cleaness is questionable and it appears there is more lodgers than the one the who sleep in the loft. Living room dingy with curtains closed and sofa. Underfurnished. The bedding feels cheap and polyester-like. Parking is a total headache on a narrow ledge. Finally someone came to move own car but with another motorcycle in the small place that was hardly useful. Dog poo was there, easy to step in. It's close to airport but there are nicer places to stay than here. Valley location was nice. Otherwise do not recommend this place. As to airport facility, it was easy to park a car at longterm to jump to another island for 2 days.

Faaa is the gateway to French Polynesia.
Faaa is the gateway to French Polynesia. It is a beautiful city capturing the culture of Tahiti. I visited several markets while there and was impressed by the local pearl, oils for the skin and fruit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in beautiful Tahiti! Thank you from Canada!

Many mosquitoes in Tahiti…bring repellent! The hosts have mosquito repellent coils lit in the open common area and it helps. A small main gathering area for breakfast, share use of regular size fridge for leftovers, grocery store food, etc. A water machine to refill your own water bottle, coffee maker, hot tea pitcher, microwave, stove, etc all in common area & shared if you’d like to cook own meals. It’s very clean in the area. Also, a washer is available for use for your clothes & hang dry. The hosts are very kind and accommodating.

Faaa is small, but on the other hand everything in Polynesia is :) Take a rental car and explore Tahiti! After a lot of beautiful nature and small islands we were happy with our stay on vibrant Tahiti.
We were in and out twice at both ends of our vacation - going to and from the airport which was good and close. Tania provided us with very clear instructions for getting to our accomodation and made it very easy to get to bed after a long flight that landed late at night. She also organised us a taxi for our (very) early morning departures to the airport, so everything went very smoothly
I didn’t have breakfast probably because I had to leave really early. 6.40am Reva was amazing in that she picked me up from the airport and gave me a lift back early morning. In the evening her husband dropped me off at a restaurant then Reva brought me back. Taxis in Tahiti are really expensive so this was fantastic!
Reva was an exceptional host. She went out of her way to make our stay easy and comfortable

Excellent hotel with beautiful sunsets over Moorea. Tahiti itself isn't as beautiful as Moorea or Bora Bora, but this hotel is exceptional if you decide to stay a few days on the main island of French Polynesia.
The only good thing about this hotel is the location. And yet, it is on a steep hill. It is a mistake to think you can easily walk up with your luggage because of its proximity to the airport.
