Lima might feel like a massive city with lots of crazy traffic, but as soon as you dive into the culinary ocean Lima has for you, you ll forget the traffic. Tastebud explosions from breakfast till the end of the day. If its a fresh fruit juice, a sandwich, a ceviche, a lomo saltado, nikkei sushi, chifa or a coffee.... you will have a wow moment at least once every few hours.
And if you need a break, the city has waves all day every day... drop down to the coast, rent a board and a wetsuit and let the waves do their magic to your soul.

This is the second time in Lima, the last stay was about 14 years ago. Oh so much has changed, and for the better and safer. The only change that I experienced that need to be instituted is taxi fare enforcement. The taxi's can be personal vehicle labeled as "Taxi" when not and will give you a price but at the end of the ride - double the fare.
Like the express bus to and from the airport to Miraflores, inexpensive, comfortable and timely.
The sea food restaurants are world class and the price is great.
Too short on time to visit the various places YouTube reviewers recommended to visit.

We recommend spending at least a few days in Lima. The city has a beautiful historical downtown and some nice upscale developments, such as Miraflores and San Isidro. There are also many museums and historical places. There are even some pre-Inca ruins within the city limits.
There are many restaurants with great seafood.
+ one of the best features of this hotel is the excellent sound isolation - rooms are often not facing the street and have good isolation, so it's absolutely peaceful, something that is truly extraordinary for a hotel in many places in Latin America with this price category

I would give a 10/10 to the staff members of the hotel. They were courteous and attentive at all times. Special thanks to Diana Latorre and Max from the restaurant and Whittenbury from the bar for making my stay such a pleasant one. They really went a step beyond each time I had an interaction with them. The location is great, right in the heart of Miraflores and the breakfast is extremely good. Will surely consider them when I am back in Lima.
I chose this hotel mostly because of its name and location. I always do my best to book hotels at Marriott locations all over the world when I travel. In this particular case, I wanted to be located in the Miraflores district of Lima, close to major tourist restaurants and attractions. The staff was particularly helpful - they assisted me with several issues that come up during travel with dedication and efficiency.
Martha and her husband are just the very best hosts you can wish for! We stayed there twice (before and after Cusco). We could leave some of our backpacks there. The breakfast was really good. They gave us Tipps for Lima - thanks to them we really enjoyed our stay. They also helped us with getting cheap airport taxis. The neighborhood is really nice and save. We would definitely stay here again! Muchas gracias!
Great location 15min walk to barranco district, 30 min walk to miraflores with its shops and restaurants. The house is soo cute and comfortable. The staff is so wonderful that i have already booked this hotel 3 times!!! The breakfast is delicious. There is a terrace if you smoke. Honestly i cannot fault it. Try to avoid late check in for cheaper taxis from the airport

A gorgeous hotel right in the centre of Miraflores! Rooms very comfortable, AC and fans provided. The staff at Hotel Antigua are fantastic - my luggage got lost on the way to Lima and even though I was no longer staying at the hotel they accepted and held my luggage for me once it arrived so I could pick it up. Absolutely excellent service, I would highly recommend staying at this hotel!
The location for this hotel is the BEST. It is a 10 min walk from the Miraflores area which is probably the best area in Lima to visit. We spent 2 full days in Miraflores and feel like we could've stayed longer. The breakfast here is buffet style and so delicious. They serve all sorts of fruits, many freshly squeezed juices, egg preparations etc. The staff is very friendly as well.

Best thing is definetely the location, so centric and close to main touristic places, commerce and restaurants. Staff service was great, always very helpful and prompt to respond any queries. A really nice hotel, which is situated to a lot of the tourist sites in Lima. The breakfast buffet was superb and we also had dinner there which was nice. Rooms were huge and beds were comfortable as well (twin room had two double beds). This hotel is more well suited if you intend on exploring sites not in Miraflores such as the cathedrals or the plaza.
I would recommend anyone looking to stay in the Miraflores neighbourhood to book Ayenda La Luna! The facilities are modern and excellent, the rooms are clean, the hotel is very safe, and the breakfast is delicious. Janet is incredibly kind and gave great recommendations -- she even went out of her way to pack us breakfast for our early morning flight!
