Boca Chica Bay Lodge is probably one of the best accommodations we have experienced. We have travelled extensively throughout the world. The ambiance was beautiful. The view incredible.Wildlife can be spotted and followed from the balcony.. Rooms are pleasantly equipped and the breakfast a great start of the day.
The hosts, Erika and Herbie are warm and personal. We came as strangers and left as friends.
Boca Chica is beautiful. The mountains and the beaches are breath taking. Undeveloped and undiscovered, go now, before it changes. Not a lot of services in Boca Chica itself but several upscale hotels with all the amenities. A car is useful, but necessary, as the resorts are all-inclusive. The road from Santiago to Boca Chica is an excellent 100kph highway and, bonus, the road right down to Boca Chica shore is now paved. It is 19km, but beautifully paved now.

Beautiful views from all bungalows and the restaurant! The staff members were very attentive and the food at the restaurant was very good! There are a lot of stairs so pack light and if you can’t, no worries-they will take care of you! We will definitely go back !

Boca Chica is yet an untapped tourist destination in Panama.
Boca Chica is yet an untapped tourist destination in Panama. It is the perfect launching point to explore incredibly beautiful islands and to find some peace and quiet on the pacific. Definitely take a boat tour to the surrounding islands if you stay on the mainland, and hop on a kayak if you are so inclined!

I am glad I had a car, so I could explore the area. I didn't care for the 3 island tour because there were too many people and loud music. Not a relaxing day on remote islands that I was hoping for. The fishermen tourists were obnoxious, but respectful. The locals and expats were wonderful! Loved the lobster and seafood. It was fun exploring other properties such as the Tiki bar and getting caught in short downpours while undercover!

Amazing nature, a lovely quiet place to use as a base to visit the islands in the Gulf of Chiriqui. The village is small and quiet (especially in off-season when we went). In whaling season, you can also see whales in the Gulf. There are a couple of restaurants around - my favorite was a local woman who runs the restaurant out of her house, cooking good sea-food for very good prices.

You have to use the boat to get to the real beach, but the beaches on nearby islands are amazing. They are within 10-40 minutes by boat ride. Just ask in Boca Chica and locals will take you there or go directly from the hotel but that will cost you more.
We enjoyed very much our stay in El Regalo. The room was nicely furnished and was veery spacious with beautiful view. Hotel is pet friendly. The staff was very friendly and helpful they set up for us amazing whole day trips, we didn’t have to care about anything. They also prepared for us early breakfast before the trip and snacks. They also have amazing cocktails that we were enjoying every evening! It’s calm hotel in the middle of nowhere, which we loved. We would definetely come back!
The hotel area and landscapes, beaches are just spectacular. Nature is everywhere around. There is a water taxis available from the hotel and car access ok too.
Employee work is very well organized, rapid and precise (not always the case in Central America), attitude of waiters very kind and interested. Spaces were cleaned and well planned.
The restaurant had a local and varied menu. Cook had experience and dishes fresh, delicious. We appreciated the reasonable prices.
Super relaxed environment with beautiful nature around. The staff was very nice and forthcoming. Rooms were clean and had A/C.
The hotel has access to a nice little bay with a Tiki Bar on Saturdays and a swimming platform to relax and read on.
Area is very quiet and except for fishing nothing much to do around there.
Would absolutely go there again.
Amazing place with a positive energy. Place run by Italian couple. Great location. Very friendly and service oriented owners - doing more then what you expect and receive in 7* hotels in Dubai. Worth to come back and enjoy friendly atmosphere. Lots of well handled pets - cats and dogs on the property. Friendly and protective.
everything here is beautiful. This is the perfect place to relax and get away.If you want adventure there is every activity imaginable to do from fishing, horseback riding, white water rafting, indigenous village visits, sunset cruises, and beautiful beaches to explore. You could stay here a month and not get bored.
An amazing property with beautiful grounds and infinity pool. The rooms were all uniquely decorated and the details were very well done. Owner Brad was very friendly and helpful. He served us a full breakfast each day! This was off season so very quiet. We hired a boat to take us to a nearby island. Beautiful stay!
The location is amazing! Frank and Jessica are great hosts who run a nice spot. The nearby beaches are stunning and great for swimming. The dining area has many levels of decks where you can watch the ocean and monkeys! It is not a fancy establishment by any means but has the basics and is in a beautiful spot!
Boca Chica is a small town and this is the best option to stay if your budget is tight.
Wonderful breakfast for a fair price.
Nice staff makes you feel welcome and give recommendations for your daily schedule.
Non smoking rooms.
Pet friendly (the hotel has cats and dogs).
Free parking.
The breakfast was good and adequate. Hotel staff was helpful and for $10 did our weeks worth of laundry. Didn't use the pool but he deck area is where breakfast is served and is very clean. You can look off into the jungle/forest while you eat or lounge around the pool.
Beautiful small town with good restaurant and nice people. Room, pool and the whole hotel area was very clean. The lady working at the reception was extremely nice and gave good recommendations. Overall it was the best stay we had during our 10 days trip in panama! :)
The Boca Chica Eco Lodge is where you go to experience the meaning of total relaxation in a postcard setting. Herb and Erika went above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable and comfortable . Words and pictures cannot describe it. Once in a lifetime experience.
Amazing location with great views. Very private, quiet and calm environment. The house is very spacious inside and has a large terrace too.
The hosts are very helpful and friendly. I will definitely rent this house again on my next trip to Boca Chica!
Herbie & Erika a wonderful hosts, the hotel has a beautiful views from the rooms & the infinity pool, lots of animals to observe (howlers, toucans, hummingbirds etc.) and they serve a personal, extraordinary breakfast of the highest quality!
This was one of the best places we stayed in Panama. Beautiful room with great view from the terrace. Boca Chica is a bit sleepy, so make sure you do a 3 islands tour. It was worth it!
We booked tree nights at Hotel Boca Brava Paradise. Indeed it was paradise. Stunning view you can’t get enough, delicious breakfast and dinner. Thank you guys it was just perfect.
Host, Brad, is super friendly and helped with everything we needed. The hotel is in a stunning location, peaceful and perfect for quiet holiday, but with plenty to do and see.
The hotel has a wonderful and thoughtful staff who multitasked to ensure we had the best experience.
The view is stunning and the facilities are beautiful.
