I chose this place as the most convenient and at the same time far from the tuiistic trails. nearby is the city of Vardo, which has a port and an airport nearby. I took an incredibly comfortable bus myself; it runs according to schedule. If you want to get acquainted with the culture and flavor of these places, just come here. thank you to the owner that he is engaged in this business with love for both these places and people. We liked the views of the harbour and there was plenty of space with two separate bedrooms and a large living area. Owner offered us a lift from the ferry when we arrived, which was kind, but we decided to walk.

Friendly and super nice staff. Great food. If you are visiting Vardø for bird-watching, it's only 5 minutes away from the boat and info center.

The place is tiny, but offered everything I needed for my short stay. It was very clean, check-in was easy with a key-safe and you can see the fjord.
Ytre Kiberg is a working fishing village. It has no facilities for tourists but that for us is fine. There is some residential housing. A lot of the buildings in the harbour are derelict. There are whales in the bay but unfortunately there was a whaling boat as well. The weather was very changeable with a glorious day when we arrived then sunny periods, strong cold winds and and some snow for the rest of the visit. There is plenty of scope for walks along the coast and it is a good place to be based if you are interested in wildlife and birdwatching.

I went to see the Steilneset Witch Memorial in Vardo---the next town over. Kiberg is a small fishing village and does not have much to offer in and by itself, but the fishing is great as is the bird watching. So--if you are into either one of these, you might consider coming to this area.
