The camp was outstanding. Great location, peaceful environment. We enjoyed a campfire and a sauna in the evening. All facilities are in excellent condition and the cabin itself is warm and very cozy. There is clean drinking water on site and it's easy to make friends with the neighbors in the other 2 cabins if you're so inclined. Will definitely come again if in the region.
Providing quiet street views, Hammerstuene mat - og gjestehus in Surnadal provides accommodation and a bar.

We were given a warm welcome, probably one of the friendliest places we've stayed.
The food was probably the best we'd had on our road trip so far.
The location was ideal for us. There was an outdoor area for socialising as well as the indoor area, very well laid out and tastefully decorated.
We had a room roadside but it wasn't a problem as it was quiet.

I think its a great option, as long as you remember this is a camping site and not a 4-5 start hotel. We stayed in a cabin (bungalow), which was relatively small but had all the conveniences available. A great kids playground was nearby. Plenty of grocery shopping around. Great outside terrace.

Phillipshaugen is one of those magic places you should not miss out.
We stayed in the spacious cottage, which provided ample space to dry out wet motorcycle gear.
A fully equipped kitchen and other amenities made this stay worth noting.
The scenery at Philipshaugen is magic and anyone staying there should take time to just 'watch the paint dry' outside...
The team at Phillipshaugen goes out of their way to accommodate their guests.
You immediately feel at home.

Was doing a bike race and got delayed on the road. Check in stayed open until midnight, which was really 👍 👌.
I was allowed to drag my bike caked in mud into the hotel reception and to be stored in a room on the ground floor. Well done. Not many other hotels would allow this.
