Wonderful property and outdoor area, we loved siting outside with the fire pit looking out to the beautiful views of the fjord and surrounding mountains. We even got to see reindeers strolling by from the kitchen window and the northern lights from the garden at night, which was truly magical.
Great amenities, everything you need to feel at home and super easy to get to from the ferry, only a few minutes down the road, and great location for exploring this beautiful part of Norway.

Lyngseidet is an amazing place, lovely people and relaxing place. We stayed there for Christmas and it was amazing. Tommy gave us a gift and was very nice to tell us what we could do at a time of year where nothing is open. The house the location where stunning. What would have been a cherry on the cake was if we could have seen the Northern lights, which was not possible because of bad weather. Other than that we had a blast rolling around in the snow and enjoying the cold weather.

Perfect place to calm down and refresh contact with the nature. Lot of mountain trails of each difficulty start in Lyngseidet.
You can eat delicious breakfasts and dinners in Magic Mountain Lodge but there are also two big grocery stores. We didn’t need to eat elsewhere.
There is a direct bus no. 150 from Tromsø but be sure there is one on your day of arrival. In this case it’s very helpful an app TFT Mobilett where you can check a timetable and buy the ticket direct by getting on the bus (the validity of the ticket starts from the moment of purchase and lasts about 2 hours).
We were on a biking holiday and stayed one night in Gjestegård, Lyngseidet. We had a very good night after different hotels and campings: very clean room and bathroom, curtains that kept the sun out, and the best bed since we left home!
I forgot my glasses and the owner arranged that his brother took it to Tromsø, our next step. That was so very kind!!!
Very nice people that are always happy to help. It is not a five star hotel but it is a charming hotel with a lot of very interesting history that the owners of the hotel will be happy to show you. Great stay!
Solhov was so nice, with a lovely breakfast and dinner served each day! The couple running it have taken on a large project of making the former school into a hotel and are doing it splendidly!
