our flight left before 7am and so we didn't want to risk...
our flight left before 7am and so we didn't want to risk weather and other things trying to get there, so we stayed at the Radisson Red. The cost wasn't much different than staying downtown Oslo, and the hotel was much quieter than staying downtown. If you're going by train and on a budget, I would recommend getting what you want to eat and drink at the grocery at the train station first.

Gardermoen is an airport, with all the problems connected...
Gardermoen is an airport, with all the problems connected with flying and climate change; ie use it as little as possible.
There is a very interesting one hour walk, accessible on foot, along a deep ravine, from the end of the runway, through untouched forest. Can recommend it.
The airport is smart and well laid-out and many (expensive) facilities. Will definitely go there again, but only sparingly

Size is intimidating. It is a very large entry hall if you are not familiar with it and Information doesn't appear readily available. Proximity of inexpensive lodging is a real plus. Additional shuttle cost a minor problem.

Very nice and stylish hotel and worth staying! If you plan to stay shortly in Oslo, you can book this hotel at the airport and travel downtown in 20 minutes by frequent trains.
I was happy to stay at the Radisson - airport and not dragging around suitcases.
Breakfast variety is very good and the staff is friendly.
Room was very quiet, bed comfortable.

It is the airport area and it is isolated and you stay in the hotel. There are transport public transport buses comes on time often and will take you to the train station in the airport. Nothing much to say.
Our stay was very short and sweet at the hotel. We checked in late and left pretty early. The breakfast was really great - huge selection of food. The beds were comfortable and the location is good for those catching flights in and out of Oslo airport. We used the shuttle bus which was a great service. You can also pay with card on the bus directly.
Absolutely fantastic stay at Radisson RED oslo airport, location is perfect, beds were fantastic, cleanliness was spotless.
We had a 15hr layover on our way to Bangkok and I must say it was one of the best places we’ve stayed on our travellers.
Would recommend to anyone.
Lovely hotel easily reached by airport shuttle bus, which runs regularly to and from the hotel. The staff were lovely too! The restaurant was easy to book despite the large numbers of People and the food was excellent..great room and lovely shower too.
