We loved our stay at Forneblu! We highly recommend it for the easy access to town (direct bus close to the hotel that took around 25 mins), friendly staff, lovely walks near the water and the most delicious breakfast!
Positives - Nice place to stay in Oslo.
Location - The location (Fornebu) is on outskirts of Oslo with limited connectivity. But it is peaceful and quiet with an amazing views and
Rooms - The room (Standard room) was clean and very organized for our needs with desk, cupboard, safe etc . The view from the hotel was ok but not great. Still, there was a view :)
Breakfast - Good breakfast spread with choices for all groups (meat, vegan etc)
Staff - The staff was friendly and helpful
The hotel is stylish and comfortable.
The area of the hotel is just lovely, the sea is just a minute away and there is a seaside walking trail (follow the blue trail).
The staff at the reception is super - we spent there 3 nights so we met many of them, all of them were nice and helpful.
The breakfast was delicious. We tried the restaurant as well - their reindeer sandwich is also really delicious.
The room was nice and clean.
The Hotel is spacious with a nice lobby. Reception is very friendly and they try to help and answer all the questions. The breakfast buffet had a good variety and everything tasted good. The hotel is located next to Terenor Arena, so it is an excellent option if you are watching a concert there, literary 2 min walking. There is a bus station right infront of the hotel
The hotel while booking showed 770m from the centre but it was around 9.7km from Oslo central. I had an early morning flight and because of the miscommunication in the website I could not check in and had to wait at the airport so that I didn't miss my flight.
As a result of this I lost the money I spent on the booking as it was a non refundable booking.
Hotels in Oslo tend to be expensive. This one is not cheap either but at least reasonably priced. It's just a short direct bus ride away from the center, it's quiet, and a surprisingly pretty beach is just a 3 minutes walk away. Bed was comfortable, room was clean, overall a pretty nice experience.
A typical congress hotel, no more, no less. An excellent breakfast buffet. Very efficient check-in, check-out service.
Factoring out its location in Oslo's business district, it's possible to certainly enjoy the view of the Oslofjord from one of the numerous outdoor seating options.
We stayed at Scandic Fornebu for three nites, as we have done on previous occasions when visiting Oslo. The hotel has good location, but advantageous if you have car. Beautiful surroundings and quiet at night. The rooms are very clean and the breakfast is very good.
The hotel is located in a quiet area just outside of the city center. We brought bikes and used the 'bike highway system' to our advantage. The museums (Kon-Tiki, Fram) are 20 minutes way, the opera 30. Both breakfast and dinner are fine.
Comfortable hotel with good bed.
Gym on site - well equippied
Great breakfast
Handy to buses, easy walk to shopping centre.
convenience and coffee shops close by
Lovely parks nearby. Public transport from airport easy.
Breakfast was awesome.
Staff was VERY polite. Loved the place and they had free bikes you could borrow and bike around the neighborhood.
Would come back here again.
Nice clean hotel, pet friendly. not in the center, but there is sufficient public transportation to take you into the city of Oslo. Breakfast is great!
