Saskia and Werner are super nice and attentive. They have everything we needed and the one issue we had was solved quickly. The internet is quick, the place has a private entrance and a private backward which was great for an evening wine. Perfect for two people!

Great location to access Giethoorn Village. short walking distance. No contact check in and out. Didn't see any staff so was unable to rate. Should be a not applicable face in the rating scale. Our room was upstairs but there were other rooms at lower level. Everything was as expected. Can hire boats but we just took a guided tour.

Boat rental at hotel. Friendly Staff. Large free car parking for guests. Easy to park. We got the Canal view room, Nice outdoor area, very relaxing experience. Also, there is restaurant in hotel with nice local produce.
It's not a bad little town.
Lots of places to eat not far from the B&B. Clean streets. Some graffiti.
I'm not sure what the draw would be for tourists, but I had business there and it was quite enjoyable.

This is a quiet little town with enough charm for a single night, but no more. All the people are friendly and English-speaking. When one of the restaurants was closed, the owner directed us to another one where they informed us the kitchen was closing within 11 minutes and asked us to expedite our order, which was nice to know so we didn't go hungry. They were polite and suited to tourists.
A gem of a place -- lovely, elegant decor everywhere, both in the rooms as well as in the dining room. The dining room overlooked an enticing garden area. It's the ideal romantic getaway, and in fact there was a newly married Dutch couple among the guests. Our host served a bountiful, tasty breakfast, and was so very helpful in giving advice about Giethoorn (thank you Jaap!), as well as being accommodating about check-in and check-out instructions. I would come back again and again.
Beautifully renovated small hotel, combining authentic elements with modern comfort. Friendly hosts. Our room was spacious, clean, well-designed and well -equipped, offering all modern amenities and a great view to Steenwijk's old church tower.
Centrally situated and easily accessible from the road, this is an excellent place to explore the town and the area from.

Very sweet little town and very nice hotel right newr the highway. Very conformable for those who is traveling by car. It has private parking and easy access to the town and to the highway. Even though we were late for our registration, personnel made it possible for is to check in and feel welcomed. Recommend this hotel for travelers. Nice choice
DE SMEDERIJ (forge in English) is a very old and characteristic hotel in the heart of Steenwijk. It was a one point a working forge. I slept in a boxed bed. It also functions as a tea and coffee shop. Twenty minute walk to the train station and buses. Delicious breakfast with "poffertjes" (tiny Dutch pancakes) among other things.
We visited this little charming Hotel for a short break. We really were surprised with how much attention to detail this Villa was eqipped. My family and I enjoyed our stay very much and the hosts were just excellent. We only can recommend this place and we definately would choose this place agan. Thank you for your hospitality.
A good hotel. About 30 minute walk from the train station or take bus 20. Hotel is next to McDonald's. Excellent bike rental at train station. Behind the hotel is a bike path which leads to beautiful surroundings. A shed to lock up your bike at night.

We highly recommend this hotel. Only 10 minutes' drive from Giethoorn, you find a small boutique hotel, in a great location, very close to city center with a lot of yammi restaurants.

Everything was great .. the room is spacious. I lived on the third floor and the room was spacious. We arrived late.. and he was communicating with us and sending me how to enter the hotel. And bring a cot late. The breakfast is suitable, and the village is beautiful and has everything .. Close to Githroon

Absolutely wonderful, family owned hotel in the center of Steenwijk. We really enjoyed the excellent breakfast and the cuisine in the restaurant. We felt really welcome there.
It is a very nice, small hotel. We had the senior suite and that was a really lovely room.

Our host was so friendly, and caring, they provided us with vegetarian option, the breakfast was just great. The bus is also near by taking to Giethoorn.
