Very private location, nice and quiet, perfect for a weekend away. Due to all the greenery in the area also great for dogs. A few km away is the Planetarium in Franeker, the sea is also very close by in the other direction. Een aanrader!
The town itself isn't much - nice for one walk. But the real reason it was great, is it is in the centre of friesland - so easy access to all the little towns one might want to go to visit, as well as Leeuwarden.
