Very well located. Super clean the whole room and especially the bathroom, as well as very comfy bed. Great coffee machine. Super easy to access thanks to digital keys which you receive via email and open the doors in real time. So the check in was possible anytime, basically depending on your needs. The staff super responsive and kind. I strongly recommend!

Scheveningen is a suburb of a large city and can be reached by tram. The beach area at the Kurhaus and pier is almost overcrowded with lots of fun sports such as a very high zip wire and Bunjeetower, Ferris wheel. The beach section at the spa house and pier is not recommended for tourists who are spoilt by the island and are looking for a peace and quiet journey.

We liked walking along the beach boardwalk, walking around town, and we did a few tram trips away such as den Hague and Leiden for the Naturalis centre. We walked along the pier and that was sort of interesting; we didn't ride the ferris wheel. Getting around town is easy walking or tram. We had one meal at an Indian restaurant that was not so good. Otherwise, we had groceries and ate in our room. I wouldn't suggest Oct. as it is not beach weather but for sure less tourists.

We loved every moment staying on The Pier.
We loved every moment staying on The Pier. The view was fantastic, the room was clean and comfortable and we loved the special touches such as wine and chocolats wating for us every day, breakfast included and the staff were extremely helpful. The Boulevarde was long and exciting with lots of cafes and eateries. and the tram was available behind the Kurhaus and it was easy to travel to the Hague and back. We loved it and recommend that everyone should stay there at least once.

Scheveningen or Den Haag is a insider tip for people, who want to travel to the Netherlands. It is less crowded then Amsterdam, but just as interesting. The royal family of the Netherlands has their palace there, so you can feel some royal spirit in the city center. Also the National Parlarment, Europol and the International Court of Justice are located in Den Haag.

Gorgeous sunsets and you can walk for miles along the beach.
Gorgeous sunsets and you can walk for miles along the beach. The water was warm and there was plenty of room to find a quiet spot. All of the restaurants had delicious food and a wide variety of menu and seating options. The town is lovely and it is very easy to get around. Just a short tram ride to Den Haag which is a beautiful city in and of itself.

The town itself is busy but somewhat spread out.
The town itself is busy but somewhat spread out. There are three main areas - the new area where most of the hotels and restaurants are, the old area including the shopping street of Keizerstraat which is handy for almost everything, including a wide choice of restaurants, and the harbour. All three are linked to the city centre of Den Haag by three tram routes - 1 and 9 from the new area, 1 from Keizerstraat and 11 from the harbour area at the other end of Keizerstraat. Between Scheveningen and Den Haag lie the Scheveningse Bosjes, an attractive wooded area perfect for country strolls. Nearby attractions include the International Court of Justice (Vredespaleis) (there is an interesting visitor centre but to visit the Court itself you have to book well in advance) reachable by tram 1, and the model village of Madurodam reachable by tram 9.
1/ We both drank alcohol during the family dinner and did not want to drive back home. So we needed a place to sleep. This hotel had an acceptable price and was conveniently close.
2/ Long live the night porter! When we told him we have a coffee maker in the room but no coffee, he ran up three flights of steps (he was the only staff at the moment) to come and bring us our coffee.
3/ How did they manage to get that enormous bed in such a small room?
4/ Nice and quiet.
property is very close to the beach literally 3 minute walk. Also very quiet at night and safe . property is also easy to reach via public transport, take tram 9 from central station and get out at Kurhaus stop. Breakfast is 10 eur with plenty of options to keep you full. From many trips here this is the cheapest place you can get closest to the beach! staff is the absolute best and also eager to help ! I recommend and I will be returning
The location was amazing, less than 10 minutes from Kurhaus tram stop and the Boulevard. Additionally, supermarkets and shops were available in less than 200m. The room was nicely furnished and although on the smaller side, functunal and clean. The key feature was super accessible and really easy to figure out. Lastly in the case you needed additional toiletries or towels, thet were readily available at the grand floor.
everything very convenient, nice staff reacting flexible, 5 min walk from the sea.
it was the lowest price in Scheveningen. Taking the price into consideration the Hotel meets a high grade of comfort. a kettle in the room is super convenient for me and rare in my hotel expericence in Europe.
clean. wifi. hair dryer.
I didn't try breakfast since I don't eat in the morning. asian food is bookable from the room.
We absolutely loved the StrandHotel! We felt at home and our kids had a blast. The coffee and hot chocolate corner was an excellent part of every day. The area had so many restaurant options and the beach was beautiful! Our family room was so wonderful. It had plenty of room for our family of 5 (3 kiddos, 13, 11 & 5). The staff was so helpful as well. We hope we will get to come back one day!
Excellent room size. Good internet speed. Comfortable bed. Blackout curtains are extremely effective. They give you your own key card but you also get a smartphone key that opens up the front entrance, back entrance, and room. Pretty cool! There are plenty of restaurants, bakeries, and grocery stores within an easy walk. Easy walk to the busses and trams, as well as the beach.
Nice welcome we had. Very friendly staff. Pool was smaller then expected for such hotel at its size but was still fun for my daughter. It was warm enough. Location was perfect. We stayed 1 night but enjoyed it. The restaurant was excellent. We could go to movie late as the cinema was very close. Rich breakfast. The art inside was really nice.
Right by the beach but not overlooking the beach. Clean and immaculate decor and presentation. The breakfast was perfect, generous and nicely served by perhaps the most pleasant member of staff. My room had a nice balcony and view of the Badhotel opposite. I’d like to rename this hotel as a Bad Hotel for quite a few reasons.
The location was very easy to access from public transport and it was just an 8 minute walk from the famous Kurhaus in Scheveningen.
The building and they room were sweet, simple and comfortable, with all the needed amenities for a week stay—minus a washing machine in the room.
It is a very comfortable, cosy hotel in a quiet neighborhood. Close to the beach ( about 20 minutes walk). The room is spacious, clean, stylish. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly. Thank you very much for a wonderful stay.
Super charming old hotel perfectly located with a view of the beach and the broadwalk. The hotel is family-run and the staff are friendly and willing to tell the story about the hotel that goes back about 100 years
Getting to the hotel is simple, and its location and surroundings are fantastic. Despite the issues, I must commend Graham, who warmly welcomed me upon arrival.
