Breakfast was wonderful. We looked forward to it each morning. Close to everything. Go right when you go outside and you head to the Veendam and turn left and it's a great walk down to the end of the Dorpsstraat. I've been a few times before and never knew about the bus. That was great! The bed was heavenly. Staff friendly and willing to please.

What a perfect place Vlieland is. And this time I found out there's a bus service and it made the visit even better. The buses don't run often but there's a schedule. And it works.

Good roads for cycling, hardly any cars. Good island for beach walks too. It's a small island (e.g. vs. Texel), for adults, a week on Vlieland would be too long unless you like to read many books and meditate. Many birdwatchers were visiting too.
Staff in the hotel is extremely friendly, really very pleasant, all of them. Breakfast was perfect. The room was a bit smaller than it looked on the picture, and we would have liked something in the bathroom to put our toiletries on, that was a bit poor. Otherwise, just perfect, we loved it.
The location of the hotel is great - its right in the main street of the village, and close to all the restaurants and the port/ferry and bus stop. The hotel has a great restaurant and terrace to enjoy a drink while people-watching. Beds are very comfortable.
