We decided to stay here for just one night on our way to our final destination, but had I known it was such a beautiful place, we would have extended our stay. Kasteel Engelenburg is a historic hotel with lots of atmosphere which offers delicious breakfasts and dinners. Friendly and helpful staff. We had a spacious and comfortable room in what I believe were the converted stables. It had its own terrace overlooking the beautiful gardens. We will definitely make an effort to come back!

Literally gorgeous and the included breakfast is perfect and you get a lot of food. The hotel is very visually pleasing, with every detail thought of. The bathroom of the Emma suite is amazing, and the beds are big and comfortable.

In the park or the village of Olburgen there is not much to do but it is near by (via tiny ferry boat) the village of cute little village Dieren. (6 min by car or 40 min walking). From there you have access to the beautiful forests of the national park Veluwezoom. There is also a trainstation in Dieren which is 8 min by train from the center of Arnhem and its charming old center. It is also nearby the town of Doesburg. You can go cycling, driving, or hiking. We had amazing dinner in Arnhem at the amazing "Schatje van Arnhem" bistro (you need booking).
