The town was quiet and beautiful. We stayed here because didn't want to be in the centre of Amsterdam, so 30min drive was comfortable. We arrived after check-in time (called ahead) and they waited for us, so we really appreciated it. The room was clean and they are dog friendly although nothing was prepared for him like in other hotels (beds, bowls etc.) We appreciated that they cleaned up while we were in Amsterdam, it was nice to come back to clean room.

Quite areas even close to the bus station, besides the river where you can relax, drinking coffee. Rooms very clean, heated floors in the bathrooms, easy check in and out with its keyless code lock doors. They provided generous breakfast portions, and the staff was polite and helpful guiding us around the area. *****

first, i was not aware that this place was a bunker and military fortress for the first work war and when we knew it was so exciting !! the place is spectacular and so unique.. the spa was the best i visited so far.
Our stay at the hotel was a wonderful experience. The place was beautiful and picturesque with green grasslands, canals and cows grazing. Our room was very nice and cozy, it smelled of wood and the view was great. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, it was our pleasure to meet Coby and Inge. Lastly the restaurant was incredible, everything was tasty and the fried potatoes were the best we have ever had by a longshot.
This is a beautiful old hotel/restaurant in the countryside away from the noise of Amsterdam yet still close enough for day trips. The rooms were comfortable, the food outstanding and the staff just gorgeous. On day trips to Amsterdam, we took the P+R from Amsterdam Noord where it was only 1 euro for parking and only 3 metro stops to the centre of Amsterdam.
Fantastic pub restaurant hotel in a quiet village, good value for money very relaxing, spacious room, great restaurant food and easy to visit Edam and Volendam from here. You can also visit Amsterdam easily for the day then come ba k here away from the crowds. Highly recommended
Excellent service and familiar atmosphere. We had the exceptional experience of staying in the hotel during the early July 2023 summer orcan, seeing trees falling all around. No hurry to leave the hotel, all well. Highly recommended
