Middelburg was full of surprises at every corner. A tourist friendly easy walk around town. Beautiful architecture, cafes, and restaurants.
Nothing to fault in this town other than if you have a car parking difficult and expensive. Easy to access via trains.

Middelburg is a charming medieval city with cobblestone...
Middelburg is a charming medieval city with cobblestone streets, lovely churches, beautiful canals, and its own windmill. The shopping district is extensive, and there are restaurants of every kind with cozy outdoor seating. Dining outdoors on the main square is lovely!
Middelburg is a very walkable city. The train station is not far from old town, so if you book a place in old town you can usually walk there in less than ten minutes. We found affordable parking for our car in an underground garage by the Albert Heijn grocery store on Het Groene Woud. I can't think of any restaurants to avoid; every place we went was pretty great. Prices are a little higher on the main square.
I would recommend renting a bike and riding around the city, especially going out into the green countryside to see the cozy houses, sheep, cows, and goats. In the summer, there are flowers in abundance. The ocean is also just a few kilometers away and is a nice place for a sunset walk.

Beautiful houses with elegant doors.
Beautiful houses with elegant doors. Walking around town is great. A visit to the local museum of Zeewyse is also worthwhile and interesting. True, the fashion exhibition is closed. Nice, great restaurants and cafes. We had dined at the restaurant Basalt and were very pleased with the excellent food and service. A very nice central square. It was very interesting to get to the flea market, which happens quite often here.

Middelburg is one of my favourite places in the Netherlands.
Middelburg is one of my favourite places in the Netherlands. Very historic and beautiful star Fort city, the central plaza at the stadhuis is huge and filled with bars and restaurants. Small enough town to walk around easily, and the expected standard of cycle paths and signs, makes it a great place to stop when cycling Zeeland
Middelburg is an amazing city with a lovely city center. And the hotel itself is located in the beautiful old town and quiet small street. The hotel is just renovated but it still has an old town-building atmosphere. The rooms are beautiful and have a romantic vibe with a view outside the garden. And the owners are very friendly and welcoming. We had a short but amazing stay and we definitely are back if we have a chance and perhaps when passing by again on the next cycle trip to the Netherlands.
Super little hotel for great price. Absolutely super location at a stone’s throw from the station and in the city centre. Bijoux but complete room - clean and had all mod cons although the light switches took some working out, but that us all part of the fun. Nice toiletries and great in-room coffee and tea. A lovely bakery opposite sorts you out with great rolls and boluses. Comfortable and very quiet. Eclectic maybe not so much.
We came to Middelburg for our daughter's college graduation. The place was a large apartment, equipped with everything you could ask for, fully furnished kitchen, all kitchen tools, glasses and plates, bedroom, living room and bathroom were unusually large for euro sizes. Would recommend without a doubt. By the way it looks better than in their own
pictures.
Really nice hotel - great deco, high quality, lovely staff. Top quality breakfast with a huge choice. Super comfortable bed.
First time in the area - Middelburg was v nice - lovely area - especially Veere (tiny but charming) and Domburg, great beach resort, very un-spoilt. Cycling is of course super easy with cycle routes everywhere!
A beautiful B&B where the owners pay attention to all the little details: a cup of tea upon arrival, a personal welcome sign in your room, and homemade products for breakfast. The historic building is located on the most "gezellig" street in Middelburg and is full of historic features. We can't wait to go back someday!
A lot of pride, love and energy went into creating this beautiful family-run hotel. We cannot recommend Logies aan de Dam enough, its location, the beautiful room, the stunning building full of ambiance, the owners/staff. Everything exceeded our expectations and we'd love to come back sometime. Thanks again!
The location of this hotel could not be better, especially if you are arriving in Middelburg by train. The rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated, and the breakfast is wonderful --- everything was organic and delicious. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay great. We will be back!
Perfect stay in Middelburg. The flat is pretty and we feel at home with the beautiful garden and all the little touches from hosts. The location is ideal and you can do everything (supermarket, city center, bars, kids playground) walking distance. I highly recommend this cottage.
Great location, comfy bed, and the hospitality! The owner went above and beyond to make sure I get all that i needed during my stay. Plus point for me is that the hotel has a great fan, perfect for hot summer night. Totally recommend if you ever visit Middelburg!
This beautiful apartment is very central in Middelburg. It have lovely touches and everything that you need for a fantastic stay. It was clean and comfortable. A lovely oasis after a day exploring the city.
The staff were prompt and helpful.
The appartment is spacious, comfortable and very well located for a visit to Middelburg and Zeeland more generally. Lovely villages like Veere are just around the corner and Middelburg itself is a beautiful city to just stroll around in.
This was my second stay at the hotel. It truly is a special place; the architecture and location are stunning. The staff is very accommodating and the breakfast offer is first rate. I can recommend this hotel without reservation.
The hotel is amazing. Convenient location, close to all Middelburg attractions and the train station. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The hotel staff is friendly, courteous and helpful.
