The whole exterior and interior of the hotel were very impressive; a very nice setting. Although small the room was comfortable. We arrived on bicycles and were pleased to find a "cage" where we could safely store our bikes.

We approached Topparken Landgoed de Scheleberg with high hopes, but it was even better than we had dared to dream. The location is exceptionally good, starting with a sense of theatre as you drive up the main tree-lined driveway to the central building to check in. Everywhere around the park the trees are tall and the greenery, shrubs, plants and hedges give the illusion of wildness and privacy despite the large number of buildings dotted throughout. I don't remember seeing a single piece of litter anywhere around the park, and the whole environment within the park is clean, green and very calming. The play areas are tremendous and well-maintained, and the go-kart rental (other vehicles are available) good value and great fun. The swimming pool is a good size and just the right temperature. But perhaps our favourite thing was how easy it was to access footpaths and cycle paths all around the park. The network is astoundingly good, and exploring the paths and venturing out is wonderful fun. We easily made it to two charming local towns -- Lunterun and Ede -- by bicycle, and other trips, to the Middle Point of the Netherlands, and to Ginkel Heath, renowned as a landing site for the famous Operation Market Garden assault on Arnhem in WW2, and have never had so much fun cycling anywhere.
And I haven't even yet mentioned the quality of our accommodation: our chalet was wonderful. I don't belive it was one of the top-of-the-range ones, but in itself it was perfect. Clean and comfortable, with excellent decor and a homely touch. All the facilities and equipment we needed. Easy car parking right outside the chalet, and secure parking for our bicycles there too. And our own sauna cabin too! We were super-comfortable and felt very snug and happy with our accommodation.

The place was extremely clean, well decorated and comfortable, situated in an amazing leisure park with activities within walking distance. The host was very friendly and helpful.
The young staff at the hotel were excellent. There was a large free hotel car park. The dinner was good with ample portions depending on choice of food.
At the time Lunteren was suffering from extensive road works making navigation difficult.

Typical narrow minded Protestant atmospheres.
Typical narrow minded Protestant atmospheres. Very expensive villas filled with persons looking from behind their light curtains to what creatures are walking in the street and making categorization of their degree of Bible loving. Pretty vomiting impulses.
But very nice walks in the wood around the town and great experience that unknown people say hello or good morning to each other while passing! :)
This modern hotel is well-located for those planning a wellness break, cycling holiday, or walks in the woods since it is in the Hoge Veluwe National Park itself. There was an excellent breakfast selection. In view of the facilities it seemed good value. We were grateful for the secure bike storage since we were on a cycle tour. Also a good location for visiting Arnhem and the wonderful Kröller-Müller Museum at nearby Otterlo.
Beautiful location. The concept of the hotel is also really nice. Noah at the reception was super helpful. The breakfast was good. It had a decent variety and catered to all our different tastes (we were 9 people staying at the hotel... Including a vegan). The beds and pillows were also really comfortable (though my sister will disagree as she prefers soft mattresses and the ones here are firm).
This hotel is located in the national park- very calm and green, fresh air. We checked in without any problem. The personnel is friendl- they explained us verything. We all swam in the heated swimming pool and enjoyed our staying. The rooms are very good- for five persons it was more than enough.
Peaceful location, and has everything you could need for a break to get away from it all. A short walk in to Lunteren for local transport via the train, and a great place to also put on the trainers and go for a run. Such a relaxing rental, can not recommend enough!
The hotel is great. Close to a forest area but also close to a train station. The breakfast was really good. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The hotel has a game area, swimming pool, climbing wall... also the venues for conferences are quite good.
The hotel is in a beautiful setting, in the forest next to Lunteren, and is set up for guest to enjoy outdoor activities when the weather is good and indoor activities when it is not. The rooms and facilities are nice and the breakfast was wonderful.

It was my second time staying at Hugo de Vries.
Like the last time, the staff were super nice and helpful. I really like that the key opens the side door, which is closer to the rooms.
We rented a large home, which fully answered our expectations. Good size rooms, with enough storage space for suitcases, good park facilities and in the green heart of The Netherlands.
New and we’ll maintained. Cool interior design. Fun pool and nice activities in the hotel (game room, arts&crafts atelier, scooter rental etc.) Decent food. Good value for money.
Very nice hotel including restaurant with professional as well as pleasant and friendly staff. I would love to come back when i'm in the region again. I can only recommend it
Beautiful and comfortable lodges in a mesmerizing location in the middle of the Netherlands right next to the national park of Hoge Veluwe. A fantastic getaway for relaxing.
