Drove and took the backroads on my way to Gorinchem. Roads were narrow thru the country area and sometimes uphill and downhill. Laahavvvvv it!!!..it was a rainy/stormy weather and it just made me reminisce of the countryside were I grew from. The view and vibe was amazing. Still plan to go back and take the backroads to explore again.

On our return journey, some body was smoking in a bedroom which triggered the Smoke Alarm.Security/ Police and Pompiers were quick and efficient.
The room was very bright, spacey, clean and warm. The bathroom was very clean and bright. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, you name it, it was there: hot cooked breakfast, cold breakfast, fruits, various teas, coffee, too much to mention them all. The staff were very friendly and helpful too. Not far from the main roads, easy to get to my family: they live at various locations in Holland.
Why did I not find this hotel before?
Lovely little hotel in the middle of a charming town. The hotel is spread over 5 or 6 separate traditional buildings which have been very sympathetically modernised and decorated. Rooms were very well equipped and comfortable. Only negatives were the modern opaque glass doors on the toilet / shower cubicle and the stairs were very steep. Breakfast was really lovely and the staff very nice and helpful. Super people.
The location of this hotel on the waterfront in a park close to the ferry dock in Gorinchem could not be better. Just a beautiful outdoor setting. The rooms have been thoughtfully appointed with modern fittings to a high standard. Although the room was small it was comfortable. Wonderful hot shower.
Checked in very late, staff were very friendly and accommodating. Super modern facilities, very fresh and clean. Smart TV. Separate bath and shower (huge). Toilet was jn its own little room separate from the rest of the hotel. Would definitely stay here again. Lots of parking on site.
Delicious, soft, black liquorice at the reception desk. The receptionist was very nice.
Quite, dark rooms at night. Super clean and smells nice because of the wood elements. The room carpet is so soft. The hotel is nicely decorated. Great location, right off the freeway.
Very motivated staff, always helpful and service-minded. Free parking directly in front of the hotel. Located near a highway exit - but still very quit in the neighbourhood / dead end street, so sleeping with open window was no issue both nights!
Hotel new or newly renovated - clean bathrooms and rooms, new furniture and appliances, friendly staff, very tasty breakfast and spacious free parking in front of the hotel. All I can say is that I can strongly recommend this place.
