The front of the hotel is in a historic building in the heart of this fascinating town. Behind the old building is located the the more modern part of the hotel. The staff at reception were very helpful and considerate. Our room in the modern part was spacious and usefully furnished with good wifi enabling full use of the desk. The bed was large and comfortable and the room was quiet. We also liked the two easy chairs. The shower was compact, but a walk in wardrobe and easy to use safe were provided. There was a good choice at breakfast, especially liked the fruit bread. The hotel's central location meant we were able to walk readily around the town and by use of the trains explore further afield.

The 4-star Kasteel Engelenburg is located in the beautiful region of Veluwe. A beautiful building with a history, it offers peaceful surroundings and fine accommodation and services.

We decided to stay here for just one night on our way to our final destination, but had I known it was such a beautiful place, we would have extended our stay. Kasteel Engelenburg is a historic hotel with lots of atmosphere which offers delicious breakfasts and dinners. Friendly and helpful staff. We had a spacious and comfortable room in what I believe were the converted stables. It had its own terrace overlooking the beautiful gardens. We will definitely make an effort to come back!

The restaurant was quite good, both dinner and breakfast were nicely prepared. The location of the hotel is also very convenient for bike trips. The room is small but clean and a water boiler is present. There is a shed where you can park your bikes which is closed-off during the nights. The staff is friendly.

Beautiful room, beautiful warm soft lighting everywhere. Excellent location just several hundred metres from the train and very close to the main square/old town. A lovely place for a drink and to relax, and also so easy to walk from here to everything you need. Really enjoyed Zutphen and the hotel. Literally gorgeous and the included breakfast is perfect and you get a lot of food. The hotel is very visually pleasing, with every detail thought of. The bathroom of the Emma suite is amazing, and the beds are big and comfortable.
