We spent two very comfortable nights at De Zwaan at the end of May. This hotel is located at the end of the main street in the tranquil, elegant and rather special small town of Delden. That means easy access to the shops, cafes, and railway station. Our room overlooked the street but there was little noise at any time from traffic, bicycles or pedestrians.
Reception was slick and efficient and we were allocated room 3. Up the somewhat steep stairs we discovered a very nice bedroom and shower room. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed our sleep. Television channels included BBC1, BBC2 and BBC News channel.
We ate both evening meals and breakfasts in the hotel. The service was good, food well presented, plentiful and tasty. Good value for money although the breakfast possibly on the pricey side at €17.50 each.
This hotel can be recommended with no hesitation and when we return to Delden we would certainly look forward to staying here again.
Hotel Restaurant Het Witte Paard is a small friendly hotel in the wooded area of Delden, near the castle estate of Twickel. It has a large south-facing garden with terrace.

The room was very comfortable and opened onto a patio overlooking a lovely greenspace. The breakfast was buffet style and very tasty. We had dinner at the hotel and it was fabulous. The staff was very knowledgable and friendly. We would stay here again.

Landgoed Twickel is very nice for walking around (from short strolls to day walks). The village has decent shops and restaurants, and there's many more sites to see and walks to walk within half an hours drive.
The fascilities for the family, and kids in particular, are many, varied and so much fun!
The SupaGolf is great! The indoor pool's water was the perfect temperature. Access to the nearby local outdoor pool is a big bonus.
The area also offers enough walking space for your dogs.
The hotel is a bit old, and the rooms simple, but we were still very comfortable and happy.
The hotel is in a charming location with shops and restaurants all around. Good quality and variety of food at breakfast. The staff was very attentive to make sure everyone was getting coffee/tea and checking in to see if people needed refills. Rooms were basic, but clean. I appreciated having a fan in my room.

Plenty of parking with charging stations for electric cars. Walking distance into the beautiful old town of Delden.
I love the location and hotel itself. It still has the grandeur from long time ago, with a modern refreshed interior. Room was romantic and complete with all you need.
