Super place to take a vacation . The town center has many little shops, many differnt types of resturaunts and bars. The Jumbo grocery store has a vast selection of things. The beaches are clean. A very good starting point for bicycle tours.

De Koog has a smaller town with fewer high street shops than the main centre of Texel (Den Berg) but it has enough. The advantage is that De Koog is next to the beach (the main centre of Texel isn't). In De Koog there is a good variety of quality restaurants. It is ideal for beach walks, cycling and walking in the forest.

Great little resort town, with all the amenities one would like, including bars, restaurants, a large supermarket and, of course, many places to stay at. The Italian gelato is a highlight, but nothing compares to the beautiful beaches!

De Koog is a village on the island Texel.
De Koog is a village on the island Texel. It has access to the beach, a busy village center, with shops and many restaurants, cafe's, and terraces. Discover the whole of the island by any means you like. Walking, cycling, or even by car even though you probably have to walk or bike to go places in nature where the car can't go.
Unless you just want to spend your time on terraces and beaches, which is perfectly doable on Texel.

I stayed for two nights.The breakfast was good but not good as I expected. The room was clean and have a great view to the city. In addition the location of the hotel was the best you could reach to the beach by 10 min walk.
I have ordered the birthday decoration but they only gave me two balloons and a chocolate. I embarrassed in front ofy wife. Because I wanted to surprise her which I did but other way around.
I ask for slippers which is normally free and included in the hotel but I have been charged for 2.50 euro. The room service was not good they only clean the bathroom and probably do vacuum cleanings and bearly tiding the bed. Even the towels did not changed.

It is one of the best holiday destination .lots of food options ,easy access to most of the things ,excellent beaches and very good hiking trails ...You will keep walking but you will never get tired as such is the beauty of nature around De Koog.
The hotel is great. Everything looks nice, the room is spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a dune view room and that is really georgeous. It is very close to the beach. The staff was always very nice and helpful. There are many facilities to use from the pool and sauna to billiard and other games. Breakfast was really good too. You can spend an amazing vacation in this place, no matter if you go outside or stay inside.
Perfect position in the city center and 5 mins walk to the beach. The staff was really welcoming and available for any request. We were with our dog and we felt like being at home. The room was pretty big and really beautiful...and also with a small private sauna...simply amazing 👍👍👍👍.
I'm planning to go back to texel and for sure I will book again at Tesselhof hotel. Super suggested 👌
The location was nice and quiet. There are some walking tracks in the bush across from the hotel. It was nice to heard birds chirping in the morning from the main bedroom during my stay. It was also nice to see the nautical theme throughout the unit we stayed.
We enjoyed the roomy bathroom and the sauna.

We were very welcomed to the hotel.... The staff was exstremely helpful in assisting us, providing useful information about hiking and sightseeing in Texel. We also really enjoyed breakfast in the hotel, with its nice variety and fresh food. The rooms themselves including the suites are simple, yet clean and spacious.
Perfect location, bordering the coastal dunes and forest, close to both the sea and the centre of the village De Koog, with various shops and excellent restaurants. Clean and nicely decorated rooms, with all one needs for a stay. Professional and nice host, Tanja, who responds quickly on questions. Highly recommended.
I really like the location. Right in the heart of De Koog. Loved the fact that I could step out and join the party that was happening in the last weekend of Summer.

Such a lovely hotel. Close to town centre but very quiet. The owners should be very proud of their accommodation. Staff so welcoming and visitor focused. Breakfast spot on!

I liked the surrounding area, it’s quiet and close to the city of De Koog. Hotel is renewed inside and rooms are spacious, beds are great. We took a room with a terrace, which was also nice.
Super arranged breakfast in a near hotel. Roomy house literally at the border of De Koog city. No downside in terms of sound noticed being so close to the city.
the hotel is in an excellent location. no need to use the car anymore and has a free parking untill it is full. the breakfast is super and nice atmoshere.
