We went in May with good weather, it was nice and quit around us since the other chalets were empty. The terrace was nice, good chairs and nice parasol creates a nice holiday vibe under the sun. Saw a lot of cute bunnies around us while chilling there.
Hotel Nes is centrally located on Ameland and has just been refurbished. Only 700 meters from the beach and the village Nes. The woods and dunes are also nearby.
This 3-star hotel is located in the centre of Nes, just a 2-minute drive from the ferry. You can relax in the garden or on the terrace. De Jong offers free Wi-Fi and newspapers.

Clean and comfortable rooms, excellent location, decent breakfast. I was there for new year’s, and staff shared out sparkling wine and oliebollen :)
Buren is a small village, but Ameland is also a small island...
Buren is a small village, but Ameland is also a small island, so you cannot expect large towns here. Very nice nature, as in all Ameland. Large dunes, where you can bike or take a walk... Beautiful beaches with lots of sand... Beach restaurant (we did not visit it due to covid19)... Ameland is small, so we biked through all the island during our 4 days stay: one day to one side, another day to another side. Good restaurants to order meal. We reccomend to try fish restaurant Str. Anders and Italiand meal restaurant De Branding. Meal was delicisious.
It is a cozy hotel only 10 minutes bikeride away from the port. The beach can be reached also in approximately 10 minutes by bike.
The personnel was very friendly and pro-actively helpful! They offered and arranged for us to have two rooms next to each other.
The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy.
The bar has a nice atmosphere.
The breakfast was varied, fresh and tasty.
An attractive apartment centrally located in Buren, Ameland. Good facilities and comfortable balcony to relax in the evening. Free parking right next to house, and close to bars, restaurants and supermarkt.
Break fast in hotel was great, friendly staff.
Spa bath was very enjoyable .
