Ramada Hotel & Suites by Wyndham Noumea, hotel in Plum

Refurbished in 2018 and just 200 metres from the beach, Ramada Hotel & Suites by Wyndham Noumea features a palm-fringed swimming pool and a revolving restaurant with panoramic views.

The staff were lovely despite very trying time to be in Noumea (during the riots and subsequent curfews). The room was lovely the pool was perfect. The hotel was a short walk to two beautiful beaches and loads of cafes and restaurants.

Plum is very quiet, lacks amenities.

Plum is very quiet, lacks amenities. The one nearby restaurant was lovely but only open one of the three nights we were there. Other food outlets kept very short hours, bring your own food from town. This criticism possibly applies to the whole country, but it is not tourist oriented, the entire area seems to lack food outlets of any kind, you need a car to get around at all, and the roads are mostly shocking, not as indicated on tourist literature. And check park opening hours and days before you plan your trip.
