The Xai-Xai area is almost 5 hours away from the boarder...
The Xai-Xai area is almost 5 hours away from the boarder which is a very long drive. The beaches are amazing but you need to get a local to show you around if the resort does not provide that information but you need to make sure it is someone trustworthy.
There are not too many good beautiful resorts in the area and there is a high risk of booking something and you get there and find it is not what you intended booking.
Exploring the islands is the best as well. There is an issue with the language since not all the locals speak English.
