Baobab is such a great place to stay! The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, and I love the central area of the backpackers where you can hang out, eat or have a drink. Location wise it's spot on; it is right on the beach so it has great views and you're relatively close to a lot of things in town. And I have to mention the staff, who are incredibly kind and will do whatever they can to make you feel comfortable (big shout out to Rebecca and Alex who were amazing whilst I was there). If you're looking for a place to stay in Vilanculos, and you're on a budget, this is the ideal place to be.

This self-catering place was a perfect choice for our time in Vilanculos (before and after a sailing trip in the area). The sea facing villas are absolutely amazing, with a marvellous deck to watch the sun rise and a beautiful attic sleeping area perfect for kids. The owners Lida and Christo were extremely helpful, they picked us up and took us back to the airport and they provided very valuable advice when LAM cancelled our flight back to Maputo. We also ate at Kilimanjaro Café - also owned by Lida and Christo - a couple of times and the food was really nice.
