The Travel Restriction Order was announced while we were in the Resort, this was not nice not to be able to have my favourite breakfast with a view! Though the staff was very helpful and accomodating.

Gorgeous beach! Quiet road but easy to get to since we rented a car.
Quite far from town so those that don’t have a car might find it tough/expensive to get to town. Great place for a staycation though if you pick a nice hotel.

I love the entire look of the place, the vibe, the facilities (we could use the facilities at the sports centre for free too!) The staff were super friendly, and they were willing to offer assistance at any time. We were allowed early check in and late check out because of our flight arrangements. They also addressed us using our names all the time, which was really nice because it means that they care and remember our names. Since we were on our honeymoon, they also decorated the room for us, and made sure they personalized everything for us. Thanks again Datai!

A tranquil enclave surrounded by rain forest, with modern amenities and very friendly staff, with nature as it’s backdrop and constructed with responsible use of resources/materials make it a 5 star resort without equal in Langkawi.
The remoteness has its disadvantages. It’s quite far from the nearest township and so guests will have to rely much on the items provided at the hotel itself which can be quite pricey.
Will definitely return!

Best place to get away from local crowd, the best untouched, unpolluted and maintained last beaches in Langkawi. The same also goes to the rain forest in teluk Datai. Please go and see the last frontier of langkawi before it vanishes....
We booked it with high expectations but also with some hesitation considering the (high) price.
But all we can say now, is that we loved our 4 night stay here!
It has exceed our expectations and for sure was worth the price.
The staff was amazing, friendly and very professional.
The hotel is so beautiful and everything is perfectly treated.
The jungle surrounding the hotel and the hotel beach are amazing.
Breakfast was very good.
The restaurant food was delicious.
I would suggest Datai Langkawi to anyone visiting Malaysia.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They transported us to the airport early in the morning as well as picked us up from a nearby tourist spot when requested. On informing them in advance, they also prepare local/western meals at a fixed rate. They are easily contactable through Whatsapp. The area is peaceful and scenic.

The beach is also beautiful and there is a good choice of activities. We took a very interesting evening walk and had the privilege of seeing local wildlife. It is clear that the hotel pays remarkable attention to the environment.
One of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Nested in the middle of the jungle, pure tranquility and luxury. The beach is quiet with deck chairs in the shade to avoid the burn! The restaurants have a range of food, excellently made. The walk down to the beach is amazing.
Everything is inside Datai. You don't have to step out for anything.

Attended request for a baby crib, villa's location is not busy/ crowded, near to family-friendly attraction places, i.e. Skycab & Crocodile Adventure Farm, & a few nice beaches away.
