Beautiful but not more than one day in Cameron Highlands.
Beautiful but not more than one day in Cameron Highlands. Not to be missed mossy forest and the tea plantations. Skip all the supertouristic things as cactus, labander, etc places. Try to contact with the hotel in advance to organise some trekking as you need a map or a nature guide.

Need upgrading and there are only 2 fruits stalls nearby.
Need upgrading and there are only 2 fruits stalls nearby. Shopping mall is almost vacant with only a few shops occupying the mall. Very disappointing and nothing much to do for 3 days. Travelling around Cameron highlands is a problem because they have no taxi and only private hire.

If you looking for family trip, Tanah Rata is one of my favourite place. Apartment are not too old, good surrounding, nearby tourist attractions and many options for eatery. Tanah Rata also suitable for overnight stay as it is not too crowded in terms of traffic and many parking space. Mini market, souvenir shop, bank, strawberry park, camping site, waterfall, golf, hotels and apartment are plenty in this area. Compare this area with Brinchang or Kea Farm, Tanah Rata is far better place to stay!

A busy small town.
A busy small town. Walks from the town are not that easy to walk to or great. You need taxi or tours to get to all the sites around the town. The town itself is a typical small hill town, now spoiled by too much development. The main street has lots of tourist shops and restaurants touting for business. The food offerings are good and varied.
It is a small town, walkable but traffic through the town, which is constant, spoils any chance of a peaceful atmosphere. As like most Malaysian towns, pedestrian walkways or crossings are really needed but not built. Public toilet facilities poor. The town is no jewel in the crown of the highlands unfortunately.

Tanah Rata is the main centre for exploring the Cameron Highlands. The main activities are walking in the nearby rainforest trails and taking a tour up to look at the lovely tea plantations in the area and then up to the moss forests up in the mountains (about 2000 metres above sea level). Take good rainwear!

Tanah Rada has a quiet environment.
Tanah Rada has a quiet environment. There are some garden houses left over from the British colonial period in the town, as well as many holiday homes. The front and back of the house are planted with exotic flowers and trees, just like the British spring and summer scenery.
Clean spacious room. Balcony was so peace. Hot tea available at any time in room or cafe. Reheating food using microwave also very good. Can also toasting bread. Wow. Nice place to have breakfast, with the flower plants, good weather, so lovely. Very close to Pejabat Pendidikan Daerah Cameron Highlands. Food Panda rider can easily reach the hotel. Car park available.
I like the staff, very friendly and helpful. First time. going to Cameron Highlands and was able to get a very good tour guide Uncle Lim. There is no hard selling hence you have to ask for tour suggestions. There are consistent Whatsapp messages to inform the services within the glamping site, very warm hospitality and BBQ food is very good.
It was simple and clean. The booking for tours through Cameron highlands was easy and made it perfect since we were picked up directly at the hostel.
There are a lot of food options directly outside the hostel.
Great location at the peak of Cameron Highlands, and definitely one of the best hotels in the area at the moment. Size of the bedrooms and view from the rooms is lovely.
The host Norman was incredibly helpfull and told us everything we needed to know about Cameron Highlands.
No bullshit, just great service and a happy man to talk to.
