We chose Simpamg Ampat was due to the reason that my dad wanted to eat the Soon Lee Chai kueh in Sg, Bakap which was about 7km from Simpang Ampat. Simpang Ampat is surrounded by Industrial Area. Would recommend for those who is on business trip. If you want to visit famous eatery in Bukit Mertajam old town, it takes about 15 minutes drive from OMG.
