The balcony is the best part for a diver with their wet equipments, and it's the crucial reason why I chose here. It took a night and my equipment all dry. The free shuttle between the jety and the hotel is convenient, and the only thing I have to do is to make a single call telling where I am. Though the hallway is full of durian smell from other guests, the room still smell free from it. The room has sufficient international sockets, good.

Semporna is where you have to take boats to go to the nearby island like Mabul, Bumbum or Mataking for vacation or just to go to diving sites. Small town but you can find everything that you need there. They even have Starbucks now. If you want to save some cash, just stay at the hotel/hostel in Semporna and just take a daily trip for your diving / snorkeling / island hoping. It's so much easier to find food here in Semporna

Their local people is very friendly and you can buy so much seafood with cheap price . Overall if you want come to Malaysia especially Sabah state then you must go to Semporna to feel their unique environment and beautiful sea . Dont worry about the accomodation and transportation because local people there always ready to give you a guide and they also can speak english as well .

The majority of people from Europe, the US, Japan and China who went to Semporna are divers or the least snorkelers. The main attraction is Sipadan which is one of the most beautiful places to dive in the world. There are numerous resorts with best facilities for diving, The waterfront at Semporna is the place to go for seafood restaurants.

Semporna's islands are amazing and the sea is beautiful. However, The Taowu Airport and Semporna have a long distance. I suggest that tourists not book early or late night flight to avoid taking taxi by yourself. This may cause RM 150 fare. You can ask your hotel for a shared van to your hotel. In this case, you might just spend RM40 per person.

The only reason to come to Semporna is to go snorkelling and...
The only reason to come to Semporna is to go snorkelling and island hopping at the nearby islands. If we weren't doing this, it would have been a waste of a night's holiday. The snorkelling was excellent in terms of the reefs and the different varieties of sea life we saw but I don't think safety was on the minds of the boat crew - we were left to drift far from the boat and had to flag them down to come and get us, they weren't watching. It was scary. I also thought the amount of rubbish on Mataking Island was disgusting. I understand that some of this would have drifted in from the sea but even still I think the daily tour operators who go there should have some sort of responsibility to clean it up.
The room is spacious enough for 4 persons. We stayed there for a night after reaching Semporna. The room is very clean, nice, neat and the bathroom/toilet is big and clean. Quiet at night for a good sleep & rest. We also like their big & comfortable common area on 2nd level. We bot a small cake and some snacks after dinner, celebrate my sis birthday at their common area. Location is good and near to jetty. There are eating places and nice cafe within walking distance. Very valuable for stay !
I really did enjoy the stay at Timba Garden a lot! The place is really sweet and with love for the detail.
Chai the owner of the place is a super nice & friendly guy who tries to fulfill all the needs of his guests. He helped us with a lot of stuff and showed us around semporna. He is also a dive instructor in case you want to go and try that out. In my eyes the best hotel- experience I ever made.

the best guesthouse I've ever stayed in. The host, Sadeed is so informative and helpful throughout my stay here. The location is close to the main jetty so it is no rush if you already booked a boat for island hopping. The room is clean, the shower and water pressure are amazing and the surroundings are quiet. I would definitely stay here again if I visit Semporna.

This is completely unrelated to Bubble House but I hope that other visitors to Semporna have better luck than I did at finding ethical diving centres that take preservation and conservation seriously!
The Location! Exactly at the jetty with lots of seafood restaurants within seconds (literally) away. Boat for island hoping to Bohey Dulang etc also just in front of the doorstep.
Super friendly and helpful staffs. The hostel helped me with airport transfer from Tawau to Semporna and also booked me the island hopping tour to Bohey Dulang.
I really love the breakfast. The cafe is super nice. All the staff are friendly. This hotel will be on my list of options when I visit Semporna again. Perhaps I will book larger room. Since the light in the room was not so good for me doing my office work, I am glad they had 'cafe' vibes space at the entrance :)

Good location in the center of semporna. Friendly staff and overall clean room, kitchen and bathroom. Other guests were also very respectful by not making any noise after around 10 pm. Great for a short stay whilst traveling to Mabul.

Simple hotel which has everything you need for some good nights of sleep. Free breakfast, water, tea, coffee. Very close to some nice affordable restaurants as well as a mini-mart. I made lots of friends here.
spacious room, good tv programme and nice environment, soundproofing room too. It seem like can bbq there, but we didn't bring any coal. Next time if came semporna, will like to stay again and try it.
2 min from the Semporna jetty, the staff were very friendly and carried my very heavy suitcases up the stairs for me. air conditioning was good. bed looked old but was fine to sleep for one night.
