The location is great and right at the river side and walking 0.7 miles away from the hotel and lots of local foods shops are along the way and enjoying walking around . It's cool and nice to view it The local people are friendly and nice . Love the location and basic breakfast provided and lots of foods to load in after basic breakfast. Enjoy stay. Just a sound proof was poor because Thai restaurants are next to it. After 12pm is ok.

I like the relaxed vibe that is Kuching.
I like the relaxed vibe that is Kuching. Went for a wedding, and normally our stays in Kuching is just over the weekend, this time as it coincided with school holidays, we decided to do a whole week.
Driving is not a hassle, jams were not that bad. I enjoyed my long drives out to the Sarawak Cultural Village and the Matang Wildlife Centre (although please do check the weather before going to the wildlife centre, as it was closed to the public due to rains and we had to turn back).
The Borneo Cultures Museum is a must, especially if you have kids.
We also took the obligatory cat statue selfie shot on our last day in Kuching. Do drive around to look for proper parking when doing this.

Despite being a city its a slower pace of life. There is lots to explore but you need the time to do that.
Very affordable destination and one must explore the outskirts as well. We visited the Orang Utan sanctuary in Semenggoh Wildlife Centre and enjoyed that too.
Food...plenty of options and choices from traditional chinese to malay to some of the ethnic tribal food is available to any foodie out there.
Lots of greenery around the city making it a cooler destination with a natural feel to it.

City but lots of tours available - we had a bad experience with the hotel we booked Meritin - so wild recommmed you avoid this hotel if you value your sleep

I was in Kuching for 3 weeks. It's a lovely city.
I was in Kuching for 3 weeks. It's a lovely city. I felt very safe travelling as a single woman even after dark. It was wonderful to be so relaxed while travelling. I did a lot of day trips from the city. Locals were so friendly and helpful. I'm looking forward to going back to Borneo in October or November.

Kuching city have big river running through the middle with old heritage buildings preserved since the colonial period by the famous white king brookes. Complete with host clubs and numerous world class nature & wild live forest parks within short period of traveling
The location in the city centre makes it easy to go anywhere with ease, provided you have your own transport. Getting an e-hailing is easy too. The stylish interior design gives a chic vibe, and it is practically new hotel so everything is still spick and span. Check in was easy and fast, staff were friendly. Breakfast was good, I liked the coffee machine, and a better buffet spread (compared to the other 2 roxy hotels in kuching).
We love the river view from our room. We love the staffs whom we encountered. They are generous with smile & very helpful. Harbour View Hotel is one of the great locations for staying, near Kuching Waterfront, Plaza Merdeka, food stalls, souvenir shop and all that.❤️
Superb location. Right by the waterfront and walkable to almost all major tourist attractions in Kuching. 7/11 was around the corner. The staff was super friendly and helped us with our request, which I appreciate. The bed was comfortable. Wi-Fi was great
