Pegu (Bago) has some interesting spots such as snake monastery and two reclining Buddhas. We managed to visit them for free. Other pagodas are just ok but for only complimentary. Paying 10.000 kyat is overpriced as you compare to what you can get in Yangon when visiting Shwedagon Pagoda.
We recommend to discover Bago on a bike with a slower pace. It is enough for a half a day to visit all main spots. You can get away from the main highway, see how the real Myanmar people live, interact with locals and enjoy the authenticity of the place.
