I didn't have too much time to walk around, but that what I saw, looks like Star Dojran is smale pretty place but not sure how it would be with longer stay there.

Star Dojran is a peaceful and relaxing commune on the shores of Lake Dojran, built on the remaining on the destroyed city of Dojran during World War I. The commune offers everything you can expect from a small touristic spot, great climate, lake views, a modest beach, several cheap but good bars and restaurants, and great hiking trails up the mountains. It's a perfect spot for a weekend getaway with family and friends, especially if you are looking for a place that's a bit off the grid and not as touristic as Ohrid Lake. Additional value are the cheap prices, super friendly locals with great English, the peaceful and quiet evenings, and the warm summerish weather up until the middle of November. And let's not forget it's proximity to other towns in the area, the city of Strumica, and Greece - which all makes Dojran a great place even for a longer stay, especially if you are with a car.

One day is really enough to explore Dojran.
One day is really enough to explore Dojran. There are few fish restaurants near the lake. There are beaches but most of the people are just sunbathing. The lake doesn't look clean and I guess that is the main reason why there are just few people swimming in the lake.
Perfect for overnight stay if you travel to Greece as there is a nearby border crossing. Other than that, not really much to see.

Not much to see really, The lake is dirty and I would not recommend swimming although there are a few beaches. There are a few restaurants with fair prices. The road is busy overnight as there is a border cross nearby.

Star Dojran looks like Pripjat from Chernobyl. Awful, dirty place where you don't have anything except a couple of restaurants near the lake and that's all. Lake is extremely dirty and smells bad too. This place is good only for a one nights stay when you're travelling to Greece.

Rooms are clean and furniture is relatively new.

There is swimming pool that hosts maintain every morning with elevated bar for good view on Dojran lake.

Parking is available next to the building on the right side when looking from the street. The guy is probably waiting and telling you how and where to park.

The apartment is at good location, not far from the center of Star Dojran. There is a market close to the property. The hosts are great.
The host was very kind and waited for us although we were very late. The room was spacious and clean. It's in the quiet neighborhood. The beds are very comfortable. The view from the hotel terrace is very nice. Gread place to rest and relax.
Perfect place for intermediate rest spot on the way to Greece, especially when the main border crossing at Bogorodica - Evzoni is crowded and with many hours of waiting. Star Dojran border crossing is almost empty (one car before us)
The room and the pool were very clean, the host was very kind and friendly, she even prepared a coffee for us as a welcome. Very close to the center of Star Dojran, I recommend it.

Nice and large hotel overlooking the lake. The room, bathroom and terrase were spacious. It was a very comfortable one night stay. Staff at the Reception was very kind.
