The hotel has excellent customer service. I was warmly welcomed by the staff during check in and throughout my stay, I was made to feel like a VIP. The property also has rooms that are quite spacious, clean, and comfortable at very affordable prices. Hotel Chisinau is a living museum! Staying here is a must for anyone who wants to understand the recent history of Chisinau and is a valuable experience for anyone wishing to get a feel for what Moldova was like during the 20th Century. This property was the first hotel built after World War II and it was also the first building to have an elevator in Chisinau during the Soviet era. Today, the hotel sadly no longer has a restaurant with hot breakfast, but the staff is still attentive and friendly and the hotel's slogan, that staying here is like staying at a Babushka's home is very much true. This place is historic, homely, and conveniently located in a central part of Chisinau. The hotel continues to provide a small breakfast (in the form of a voucher for pastries and a small coffee from the shop in the hotel lobby), offers luggage storage, and several of the rooms in the upper floors have nice views of the city. Tea and electric water kettles are also available on request.
