Kaunas is a delightful city with a lot of museums, old buildings and churches to visit. The old town is compact, so easy to walk around. There are lots of cafes, donut shops and restaurants, all of which are reasonably prices. We did not venture far from the old town as we were there for a wedding, but the new town looked interesting and we heard good things from our friends.
Soul in the old town square offers traditional Lithuanian and more international dishes. We went here three times in four days, it was so good!
Holy Donut has incredible donuts.
Vero Coffee has some very nice cafes in the old town.
Kaunas Castle is very nice, but unless you are really interested the museum doesn't offer much. The view from outside is better value!
Our favourite museum was the Pharmacy museum, which was very interesting. Our guide was very informative.
Kaunas is a hidden gem, easy to get to from the airport, which charm and character.
Also, nearly everyone speaks good English.

The old town area is highlight. Trams extreme cheap.
The old town area is highlight. Trams extreme cheap. Centre main road pedestrianised well with a walk. Outside haven’t got much to see but is pleasant. People and bus drivers can be rude and ill mannered but Apparantly this is known. Younger people seem very good and helpful. Language is a problem at times.

Very interesting city, with both old medieval/Baroque city center, but also with a newer one from the 20s and 30s if 20th century, with lots of modernist architecture (UNESCO listed) The city is doing a lot in order to renovate, major sights are already in great shape.

Hidden Lithuanian gem, i would highly advise more people to visit this amazing coty. Well preserved old town with many streats to walk and places to see, also plenty of great restaurants to eat out and have a great time. You must visit Kaunas to feel real Lithuanian vibes.
Lovely hotel not far from city centre and quite convenient to get to Kaunas airport from there too. Very clean, comfy beds and pillows- really had superb night sleep. Reception staff was amazing. Breakfast excellent, good variety of foods.
Food shop just few meters away and few places to eat as well.
Would definitelly stay here again
The bus 29 from the airport stops about 40 metres from the hotel entrance. There is a small car park with electric charging. The room looks immaculate. Wheelchair access from the car park. Kaunas Old Town and Laisves Aleja are 5 minutes walk. Akropolis is 15 minutes walk. Top quality walk-in shower with complimentary gel.
I am very pleased with our stay in Radisson Hotel. The staff are very friendly and considerate. The hotel is the best location in Kaunas. Very close to the city centre and Saint Michael Arcanghel church. It is very clean and the facilities are excellent. I always recommend Radisson Hotel. Kudos!:)
Excellent location, close to Laisvės Alėja (use the shortcut passing the Church of S:t Gertrude). The hotel is also close to the stop of bus 29G from and to the airport (200-300 m). The room was spacious, quiet, clean and generally comfortable. Wifi and air conditioning worked well.
Clean, tidy. Instructions and guides provided. Hosts respond fast, very polite. The location is just amazing for the city, the main city alley is just around the corner, good connection for public transit. Amazing spot, great value, would definitely book again.
Funny hotel where to stay. Very good breakfast, nice view from the terrace, quiet and clean place. The position is perfect for visiting the city. My congrats to the owner. We had a pleasant chat during the breakfast. Things like this make you feel at home.
The place is very new and everything is in perfect condition. Location is practical for seeing both the Old and New Towns, as well as reaching main bus lines. Nice bed. Wished an info folder with device instructions and hotel/city info.
parking was just ok, with a short cut behind the building. Bar was nice with good options in a cozy seating area. Walking distance to the city centre with plenty of shopping and lunch/dinner options.
Style, with all the small details though through. You'll find jokes in every sign and note you'll see 🙂
Nice chill area downstairs. Good location in a city centre.
