Everything. The beach, the food, the kind staff. We also met the owner and the manager, they were so welcoming and made such a good atmosphere. If we come back to nilaveli one day, for sure NBR will be our choice.

The manager Waseem Akram was really polite , And the other other staff members was really friendly . The rooms were very comfortable and spacious . Food available here was really tasty and afortable. Very near to nilaweli beach. Highly recoomonded to spend your holiday day at Sunstar hotel nilaweli.

Nice rooms and pool area. Our house keeper was ambitious. Laundry service was good. Good on-side parking (if this is needed).

Utterly beguiling place, which manages that rare combination of being both an authentic place to stay, and luxurious. It's no tourist enclave - you're at the heart of the village, watching the fishermen working, and friendly families coming down to swim or promenade in their finery on religious days. But here there are no backpacker privations - there are big comfortable beds, good linens, and decent bathrooms. Service from every member of the staff team is superb. It's a perfect location if you want to enjoy trips on the Trinco coast. Village boatmen Sara and Haru took us on great trips to Pigeon Island and White Rock (snorkelling), and dolphin/whale watching - all private trips, they picked us up and dropped us off directly outside the hotel - none of that being bussed to another jetty and waiting around. The trips were safe and relaxed, we felt we could stay out snorkelling as long as we wanted. Definitely pay extra for a room with a balcony - it's incredible sitting there watching the birds calling and circling around you, the waves, and the river flowing into the sea. So mesmerising and calming. It's very quiet by night, but it's easy to get the village tuk-tuk driver to take you into Nilaveli or Uppuveli if you want a change and some bright lights. There's also a restaurant inland about 3km away, My Kind of Place, where you can have a seafood feast (enormous amounts of crab, whole fish, squid, giant prawns and sides) for 22 USD. The management have an admirable policy of ensuring that the village benefits from the hotel, hence why they use the local tuk-tuk and boat service (you pay them direct, bring enough cash) rather than setting up their own. The lovely young staff are all also drawn from the local village. I left here feeling more relaxed than I have felt in many years.

Our stay at Amanta Beach was amazing ! The structure is very comfortable, clean and well located. The manager was super welcoming and flexible on check-in / check-out times. Dinner and food was great. Absolutely nothing to change, we would have loved to stay longer. Recommend to all !

The hotel was clean and the staff was nice… they allowed for an early check in and a late check out upon request and the host was very kind.
