The manger was friendly and helpful. The pool looked clean however we did not stay long enough to use it.

I liked the fact that everyone at the reception spoke good English. They were all so nice, organised transportation for a tour we wanted to do (everything was done and confirmed in minutes!), the laundry was quick. The room was spacious and the beds comfy. Enough space to store our luggage. Location close to everything :)

Pakse is a small, dirty town without a clear center.
Pakse is a small, dirty town without a clear center. Few good restaurants, and few people speak English. You have to have a scooter to get anywhere. There are interesting places in the area but not many of them are properly developed. Rather, their best years are behind them. On my next visit to Pakse would like to avoid Pakse city.

Unfortunately I was only in Pakse for 1 night. The city has lots to do and lots to offer, however isn’t the most aesthetically pleasing. Many come here to do the Pakse loop which is supposed to be great.

I have been to Pakse a number of times, it backs onto the majestic Mekong River. I can thoroughly recommend both the Champasak Grand Hotel and the Pakse Hotel. There is a lovely market located in the centre of the town where you can buy nearly anything.

Decent restaurants and good to get convenience items, but not much to do directly in the town. Good hub for day-trips via motorcycle or tour, but expect to get really dirty if you do them via motorcycle as only the very largest of the main roads are paved outside of the town.
Not much nature nearby, all flat areas have been cleared and converted to farmland. It takes a bit of work to get to areas with a bit of nature, but it's nice once you do so. Once you're out of the town the small villages vary from somewhat picturesque and mostly traditional to modern cement. Definitely worth exploring the countryside via motorcycle.
Waterfalls are nice, but can be a bit crowded (by local standards).

We chose the more expensive 4,000 island tour expecting to see more. We spent 5 minutes at 2 waterfalls, which are impressive, in an 11 hour day and that was it! The rest of the day, 10hrs and 50 minutes was spent waiting for, or sitting on, old buses and vans.
The much cheaper Bolonan plateau would have shown us villages, crafts and agriculture and been much better.
We had a fantastic stay and Tina is a really wonderful host. She is so energetic and full of ideas what you can do in Pakse and area around the city.
The guesthouse is situated in a simple residential area. Don't be misled by the first impression of the small road. The area is sage and people are friendly.
There are authentic day and night food markets in walking distance, a shopping mall is nearby and Tina will help you book buses or rent a motorbike.
We felt very much at home. Thank you Tina!
Romantic colors, beautiful building wish I can visit again, a nice guesthouse near a local market, a gas station and a mall at the real center. Clean rooms, a lot of chairs to sit outside the rooms. Tina sells exceptional delicious Laotian food. The grocery store is near. You don’t have to struggle to get anything for your basics. Tuktuk taxi tour recommendations are very amazing! Tina the superstar host who helps your requests very often. Please visit heaven guesthouse for a lovely experience.
The perfect hotel to spend a quiet stay. The staff is so kind and helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean, a very comfortable bed. The pool is definitely a great extra!
You can leave your luggage when doing scooter or motorbike trips. The scooter itself you can also rent through the hotel. And although in walking distance from the Center, the hotel also offers a shuttle bus in the evening. We can definitely recommend this hotel!
the facilities were amazingly good! lovely rooftop pool and bar. the hotel is located 10 minute walk away from the walking street it there are so many tuk tuk’s waiting outside the hotel if you choose to take one.
we extended our stay here an extra night as the rooms were a lovely temperature (it was 40 degrees and extremely clammy outside!) the AC was a god send!
bathrooms were clean and comfortable.
Truly the nicest accommodation I’ve had in Laos (and probably the nicest hostel I’ve been to ever). Everything is designed thoughtfully: spacious and comfortable beds with curtains and shelves, a clean bedroom and bathroom, plenty of space for everyone and their luggage, air con, etc. The owner is incredibly kind as well. Absolutely recommend, I was sad to only spend a night in Pakse
Good location. The restaurant up stairs was good and gave you a great view of the city…. Prices were not bad, but didn’t make mixed drinks well, stick to beer or wine. Breakfast was free, but just ok. Had a travel agency within the hotel that helped us book a couple things… they were nice, accommodating, and affordable.
Room is clean, and those beds in room are large and comfortable
Bathrooms are hygiene
Staff are warm hospitality.
Owner kindly invite me to have Laos foods dinner with them
The location is in center of Pakse so that you can easily travel around, especially in the afternoon you can enjoy sunset on Mekong delta river.
For me, the location outside of Pakse was good. I just need a couple of days of rest on the road, and this was perfect for that. Still close to the main road, the small garden area makes it feel cosy and peaceful. The food is simply amazing. Functional rooms.
A classy modern hotel on the Mekong riverbank - spectacular views across the river. Friendly English-speaking uniformed staff. We loved the rooftop pool and views of sunset over the river from our loungers. Excellent breakfast.
Good value for money, central location, clean and comfortable.
Staff are awesome! Daa was super helpful and very friendly, made my stay in Pakse awesome! Tian was also very helpful! Thank you
guys!
Excellent small hotel near the Pakse Night Market. The room was spacious and clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The swimming pool is a blessing during hot Laos days.
One of the best guesthouses in laos 😃 the cleanness, comfortable bed, breakfast (wonderful baguette!), and the friendly and considerate owner. Recommended!
